The mid-week socializing game!
Hey guys! It’s that time of the week, again… Time to socialize on the fly! (And, I’ll have one of those shots in the photo, please!)
Here’s how it works: I’ll start with a question, and the first person answers my question, and then asks a different question for the next person in the same comment.
I’ll start!
Would you say you are a voyeur, an exhibitionist, neither, or both?
You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0 feed. Both comments and pings are currently closed.

Neither, really. Unless drunk, then I suppose I can be an exhibitionist?
I do like to people-watch from time to time, however. But in public… not peeking through windows or anything like that.
Are you a leader, a follower, neither, or both?
A. sometimes both, sometimes neither. Depends on the situation.
Q. What’s your current obsession?
Shoes… open toe, heels, work, casual, dressy SHOES. I love shoes.. finding the perfect pair is my current obession…
Next question:
What is your favorite season of the year? and why?
My favorite season is fall. I love the cool, crisp air, the colorful leaves, putting on my sweaters for the first time in months, apples, harvest, all of it.
My second favorite would be spring. It’s hard not to have an extra spring in your step when the days get longer and warmer, the spring bulbs pop out of the ground with their vibrant color and the fun of summer is right around the corner.
What are your summer vacation/holiday plans this year?
A: It’s still up in the air for me. I might be going on a family cruise in September, but right now, being single… It would be *very* expensive to book on my own.
Q: What’s your idea of romance?
Chivalry. Passion. Doing the little things. In my book, romance is more of a state of mind than anything else.
How often do you sneak out of work each spring, when the weather starts getting good? 1 day? 2?
Surprisingly, none.
Given the choice, do you prefer fiction or non-fiction? Trashy or deep?
I probably read more fiction than non fiction for fun, such as when I sneak out for some sun on a spring day. I quite enjoy ‘deep’ books which provoke some thinking, but also enjoy airport novels in the right circumstances.
And what would your party trick be if you were asked to perform one when with friends in a bar?
My best party trick is definitely getting drunk and falling down. Nobody does that better than me.
Question: Would you rather be a deep sea diver or an astronaut? And why?
Astronaut. My glasses fit better into the helmets. Plus, space? Totally cool. I totally want to hang out with the aliens. They’re much more entertaining than fish.
Although, the fish do have the advantage of being real (or at least, reachable.)
Question: Do you think there’s life in outer space?
A: Life in outer space? I think we’re the tip of the iceburg in that department. Heck, just last night I was abducted. I have another adventure scheduled for next week. Good times!
Q: What’s your earliest childhood memory?
my earliest childhood memory is trying to crawl into my brother’s crib and falling out. i cried.
what was the name of your first pet?
A:
Our cat is my first pet. He goes by Tommy, but his full name is Tommeltot Margaret Karlsbjerg.
Tommeltot is Danish for “thumb” and it’s one of Mrs. K’s favorite Danish words (the other is kakkelak which means cockroach).
Margaret is a family tradition with Mrs. K. There’s a girl in each generation whose middle name is Margaret, and who gets “the Margaret ring”. Mrs. K thought the tradition should also apply to male cats(?)
Q:
Which trivial everyday thing do you have a very strong opinion about to the surprise of everybody else?
Children on public transport! I am thouroughly against the little buggers making so much noise and blocking the exits on my trains.
Question: What’s your favourite TV show and why?
A. the Canadian Sci Fi series “Charlie Jade”. I liked it because it was so different/cool and filmed entirely in Cape Town.
Q. What is your fave fancy flavour of ice cream?
A: Heh! I used to ask that question in my dating profile! It’s espresso… With chocolate sauce! But, it has to be good ice cream — I’m a bit of a princess when it comes to that kind of very special treat!
Q: Do you still own stuffed animals?
Are they actually visible, if you do?
Two. One pooh that acts as a pillow (he’s the right size, pillows aren’t) and one odd pink stuffed uterus from Ikea.
(Technically, I don’t it’s supposed to be a uterus, but … c’mon! It can’t be anything BUT a uterus! With eyes!)
Oh, and my question? What’s your favorite Ikea item.
Hi Natchick and Donna. I’m afraid I am not familiar with Ikea as it didn’t exist when I wa setting up home. One of my favourite items is a head of Hygea that I brought back from Greece many years ago. BTW Michele sent me. My question – what do you hope to achieve today?
I hope to get my portfolio up and properly described today. That would be good. I say this at 12:37 AM, so the day is young…
My question: If you could have a super power, what would it be?
I am really getting caught up with the HEROES TV show so I am pretty stoked I got this question.I would like to be like PETER and absorb the power of others, but if I had to pick one particular power it would have to be the ability to fly and go where ever I want at the drop of a hat.
Question. If you could fly or go to any place on the planet right this second, where would it be and why.
South America. Top of Manchu Pichu. I want to see it and am too lazy to get on a plane, fly for a day then climb.
I LOVE Heroes too!
If are were a guy would you date a girl taller than you? If you are a girl would you date a guy shorter than you?
ps: before my answer, I thought I’d say… LARA AND DONNA: I STILL HAVE BOTH OF YOUR “Body Shop” PRIZES! I should have brought yours over yesterday, Lara! Sorry…
A: I would date a guy shorter than me… As long as he didn’t suffer from “little man syndrome”! But, I’ve never actually dated anyone yet that was, though.
Q: If you live in Vancouver (area) are you going to the wine festival this weekend? If you live elsewhere, have you ever been to a large wine tasting?
a: Yeah… apparently. Im okay with the line up. Its not as if I don’t do that at the clubs from time to time.
q: Why?
—
PS: Christ Lara… you know how long I had been looking for someone to do that hike with????
A: Why not?
Q: What do you do when you’re sick?
Tan: Crud! Must have drinks with you soon. Whatcha doing after work next week?
A: why not?
Q: Do you think your city (in my case, Vancouver) is growing too fast?
Ha! I’ll answer both of you, since you both seem to be on the same wavelength at the same time!
(and Donna: surely! Next week would work! How about Thursday evening?)
A1: Crawl into bed and wish I was dead. I hate being sick. I moan alot.
A2: No, I don’t, although all the road crap that goes along with the city growth is driving me mad!!
Q: What’s your favourite texture?
a: Skin
q: What the hell is wrong with you kids!?!
(Clarification … She has to be cute/sexy/delicious!… and then … SKIN!)
take care
oh shoot, i missed that one! are you planning another socializing game anytime soon? it looks like so much fun!
depends on what there is to see.
