It’s the MID-WEEK Socializing Game!
(Sorry, a bit late this week!)

It's the mid-week socializing game!Hey guys! It’s that time of the week, again… Time to socialize on the fly! (And, I’ll have one of those shots in the photo, please!)

Here’s how it works: I’ll start with a question, and the first person answers my question, and then asks a different question for the next person in the same comment.

I’ll start!

Are you usually early, late, or right on time for things?

    A) Always early. Can’t help it.

    Q) How many coffees do you need to make it through the day?

  • Laura says:

I don’t NEED any coffee (as evidenced by my caffeine-free weekends) but I do like one cup first thing in the morning at my office. It’s just part of my routine.

    Early bird or night owl?

  • lara says:

Much to the annoyance of most previous boyfriends I am indeed an early bird! Mon – Friday I am up by 5:30. Weekends 7:30 or 8 a.m. at the absolute latest. Any later I feel as though I am wasting the day! This is a huge switch from my university days when I wouldn’t book a class before noon as I would obviously never make it.

What is the last thing that you did in your life that you were absolutely petrified to do? And did you do it??? What was the result?

  • NetChick says:

    Hmmm… Good question, Lara!

A: That’s tough, because very, very few things petrify me. Insects scare me (and it’s so stupid for me to be frightened of a tiny speck of a thing, and yet, I am) so I would have to say, removing a spider from my bedroom wall — Because you don’t want to have to worry about where that bloody thing is when the lights go out.

So, shaking, and ridiculously freaked out, I grabbed a huge pc. of paper, and scraped it (still alive) off the wall and ran outside with it before it ran towards my hand. Phew.

Q: Do you have a favourite star/personality that you identify with?

  • Vern says:

A: HA!! The Current James Bond!!!

Q: Youre on an island with no trees, but you have a lot of cotton growing around the island. Thankfully, you have two wire brushes. For some strange reason, you also have a chain saw, six venetian blinds, and 240 pet hamsters. What do you do?

  • Jer says:

A: I would urge Vern to seek professional help.

Q: If your team is out of the playoffs, will you cheer for a different team by virtue of where they’re from? (E.g. would you cheer for Ottawa simply because they’re Canadian? Or for the Rangers since the Islanders are out?)

  • Rick says:

T… my girls freak at the smallest bugs too. What I ended up buying for them not too long ago was this little gadget that looks like a small tennis racket. On the handle, there is a button you push… when you do, the “strings” on the racket electrify and zap the bug dead.

Since I got that thing, I have yet to have to get up from whatever I am doing and go “kill this bug, daddy” thing.

Just a thought… if you want one, let me know and I will pick one up for you and mail it to ya!

  • Lara says:

I would cheer for Ottawa since they are damn awesome team…unlike the Leafs who could barely make the playoffs. I am known to jump on the Canadiana Bandwagon – even been known to cheer for Calgary as “last team standing”.

What was the last thing that you did to make a difference for someone else?

  • Cin says:

A: I volunteered my services to a co-worker so her idea for our boss’s retirement could come to life. I’ve taken countless photos, scanned dozens more, hunted down difficult to track employees, and played with layouts until the wee hours. The smile on her face is worth it.

Q: When was the last time you did something for the first time?

  • Oracle says:

A : In December at a Christmas Party thrown by a client I danced ;( Yes I was a little tipsy and apparently I wasnt half bad ;o

Q : If you were offered two return tickets to the newly discovered “Super earth” who would you take with you?

  • Vern says:

A: Supergirl! (( And her super dog Superdog! … and 240 of her favourite superrodents ))

Q: How many times a month do you get get plastered at lunch on your client’s tab?!?

  • shnewt says:

    A) That depends on if I have to have sex with them afterwards.

    Q) When was the last time you had sex with a collegue? And it was a total mistake…

  • barely made it in to the game, yay!

    a) the last time i had sex with a colleague and it was a total mistake was 15 years ago. had just broken up with a very nice boyfriend (that’s a whole different story) and ended up in bed with this guy. dumb, dumb, dumb.

    q) what’s something/someone you thought would be totally cool/wonderful/exciting ten years ago and now you think, “huh? how could i ever have wanted to be/do/have that??”

  • NetChick says:

A: Oh man… Everything in the 80s. How about, Addidas bags! LOL! Yikes. How on earth did we ever think those yucky bags were cool?

Q: When was the last time you were totally euphoric?
