Seriously. Does the X-Box 360 *have* to be THAT loud???!
Okay, I’m 3/4 of the way there… There being my total-home theatre experience, of course.
Except, I’m so incredibly dissapointed with the LOUD FAN NOISE that my XBox Elite puts out. Christ! This thing is supposed to be an integral part of my home theatre, and it sounds like a jet engine in my livingroom. Especially because of the hardwood floors, I suppose.
But, c’mon Microsoft. This is the second generation of the second generation. Couldn’t you have put in some brushless fans, or something?
I literally have to turn up my stereo system to muffle the fan noise — It’s that loud.
What on earth do I do? Anyone who knows me at all, knows that dull, or constant noises like fans drive me around the bend. This is over-the-top-crazy-noisy. Grr.
On the plus side… The wheel KICKS ASS with the racing games! And the picture quality with HDMI is SO ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. *sigh* Can’t I just have the whole thing? Quality picture and a reasonable console putting out minimum noise?

But besides the noise, they’ve also been known to overheat and can cause fires if kept in a closed cabinet or something. We always leave the cabinet doors open when we’re playing…

i think i’m getting allergic against all these computer-fan-noises: at work all day, and when im at home nearly the same. especially now, as it is getting warmer this constant “sound-carpet” is killing me!!!!

The Wii is silent.
I hear that if you put an XBox 360 near the window.. and the sun shines in… and then it gets too warm… ? … It goes nuclear! Like a beautiful mushroom cloud… floating like a bird… in the sky… but much brighter… and warmer… and shaped differnt… and bigger.
Once you Wii players start over developing your muscles in your right arm, or left (if your a leftee)… People will wonder… “Hmmm, do they tend to own their Wii too much?”
