What did you do for your last birthday? (Do you enjoy birthdays, or dread their approach?)

A. My last b-day was pretty good. My friend Tyler and I went to Granville Island and bought some food, went back to his place and cooked it up and then we watched V for Vendetta on his big screen tv.
Q. What is your ultimate favourite thing to do on a rainy day? (timely question…)
A. i know it’ll sound weird but i love going out in the rain, whether for a walk or run. and i don’t take an umbrella.
Q. what did you have for dinner last night?
A. little nibbley things and red wine, was at a friends bday party last night.
Q. Any holiday or travel plans this summer?
A. Only minor plans – headed to Niagara Falls for a 3-day weekend to attend our best friends’ wedding in 2 weeks, and later in the summer we’re going camping for a long weekend with said friends near Cultus Lake.
We’re saving the big trip for Mexico at Christmas!
Q. What was your most recent cool discovery? (New recipe, interesting food, faster way to get something done… )
A: Great question… For me, it was a very cool site for WordPress plugin developers. I might get my hands dirty — Just as soon as I find the time!
Q: What was the most recent movie you saw? Was it good?
A. “Paris Je T’aime”, which is showing at the ridge for the french film festival. It’s an omnibus of 18, 5 minute short films by different directors (such as wes craven and gerard depardieu)about the city of Paris.
Q. where do you consider to be the best place in town to get pizza?
A: Most recent at the theatre was HOT FUZZ. Kitschy name, great movie. But I’m a fan of Shawn of the Dead, so I could be biased.
Q: Where you one of the first kids picked for dodgeball? Or were you one of the ones left for last?
I’ll answer both, since Patricia was missed:
A1: Quite honestly, I got ruined in Italy. I hate the pizza in Vancouver now. I guess the Flying Wedge, but these days I do prefer thin crust.
A2: Interestingly enough, the only time our class played dodgeball I wasn’t playing because I was recovering from plastic surgery (benefit!) but we played “kick the can” alot as kids, and I usually organized it, so I picked first!
Q: Who’s at the top of your IM list right now?
Damn Tanya, we need to talk pizza…. Flying Wedge? are you serious?!?!? that rates up there with Pizza Hut in my pizza books… and that’s not complimentary…
Lombardo’s, fantastic Italian pizza joint that started out on Commercial drive and has recently opened another one in the Paramount Theatre building. Wood fired oven, thin crust, sparse toppings..
Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co. over in Kits just near Burrard and West 1st ave. Again, wood fired oven thin crust, little more toppings than Lombardo’s but still darn good.

Q. What was the last country stamp in your passport?
A. Scotland. Way too long ago.
B. What is the riskiest thing you have ever done?
A: Called you up
Q: What is the hardest JOB YOU HAVE EVER DONE!!
a:The hardest job ever was working on Habitat for Humanity houses. Also the most rewarding.
q:What is the coolest place you have ever visited in North America?
A: That’s a tough one… I’d have to say the Florida Keys. It was gorgeous there, we had a great walk, and went to a very cool museum as well. That was a great day.
Q: What’s the weather like where you are, right this moment?
Bright and sunny, for a change. It’s been ark-worthy. It’s still jacket weather tho. Might have to go for a walk to soak it in.
Were you following the hockey series?
I was until it looked as though Ottawa was tanking – then I lost interest. Sorry Sens.
