Hi from muggy Manhattan!
I arrived in New York far later than expected last night — my flight, which was supposed to be a little over 4 and a half hours ended up being over 6 hours, and then customs took almost an hour once the plane landed (and the air conditioning wasn’t functioning!) — I ended up arriving at my hotel at 12:20 am local time.
Yikes!
That was a very long day of travel.
The weather is beautiful here, and I have a burn on both arms to prove it! It is, however, very muggy here… And my hair is hating that. It’s turned into an afro overnight. Methinks I’m going to need to get different hair product tonight!
I spent the day walking all over Manhattan — Times Square, Rockerfeller Center, Soho, Noho, and Ellis Island — and saw some of the spots I didn’t get to the last time I was here. The city tour I took was great, too! I might take a night tour very late tonight, if I have time.
But now (4:15pm EDT), I’m going to take a quick nap in this very, very small hotel room before heading out again.
Hope everyone else is having a fantastic Sunday!
Happy Father’s Day, Dad! Sorry I couldn’t be in Vancouver to enjoy it with you.
