It's the MID-WEEK Socializing Game!
Hey guys! It’s that time of the week, again… Time to socialize on the fly! (And, I’ll have one of those shots in the photo, please!)
Here’s how it works: I’ll start with a question, and the first person answers my question, and then asks a different question for the next person in the same comment.
I’ll start!
If you could have any job, what would you choose? One Way hd

A. It’s a toss up between being an architect and being an actor on sesame street (get to sing songs and play with puppets all day long, cushy job, eh?).
Q.What theme song did they play at your high school grad?
A. Theme song? What theme song? I don’t think we had one. But, one of the teachers at my high school is an accomplished bagpipe player and it’s a tradition on the first and last day of school for him to get all dressed up in his kilt and pipe in the grade 12′s to the assembly – he would walk in playing the bagpipes and we would walk in a procession behind him in pairs. It felt very ceremonial and special! He did this at our grad celebration too.
Q. What’s your birth order in the family (oldest, middle, youngest child) and does your personality fit the stereotype for your birth order?
If I could have any job, I’d choose to be a wild-life photographer! Its either that or a Sci-Fi novelist. The latter seems more plausible
Nice Question
Laura was skipped, so I’ll answer her question…
A: I’m the oldest, and my personality for the most part, represents that family order. That said, I have a *very* complicated family, and upbringing, so I think that lends itself to my ‘ways’ to a large degree as well.
Q: What are you doing up so late?
A: Up late!?!?!? Meh, it’s mid day right now! I am in Poland afterall. (oh the dream job, working with Gordon Ramsey in a kitchen – he’s my culinary hero)
Q: What’s your favourite comfort food?
A: My favorite comfort food is a toss up between Macaroni and Cheese or Mashed Potatoes. Yum!
Q: Do you like warm weather?
I’m gonna answer every question. Just for fun.
1 – If you could have any job, what would you choose? Achievable: technical writer. Less achievable: millionaire playboy who volunteers a lot.
2 – What theme song did they play at your high school grad? The Top Gun theme. Yeah, my classmates may have been idiots. It wasn’t even around when top gun came out! I graduated in the mid ’90s! What were they thinking?
3 – What’s your birth order in the family and does your personality fit the stereotype for your birth order? This is a much more complicated question than you’d think.
- I have no full siblings.
- from the ages of 5-10, I had an older step brother & step-sister who lived with us.
- at 15, I got a baby half brother who I’ve never lived with and don’t see often. (he’s 13 now)
- at 22, I got a baby half sister who I’ve never lived with, but see a lot more often. (she’s 5)
- said baby sister & baby brother are from different sides of the family and have never met.
So… I’ve been an only child, a youngest sibling, and an oldest sibling, independently twice. I think I mostly fit the only child thing the most. I’m terribly selfish.
Q: What are you doing up so late? Hmm. Maybe I can skip this one, since it’s 9am. However, I was definitely up way too late last night. Stupid warcraft.
Q: What’s your favourite comfort food? Ice cream. Especially with a little baileys drizzled on it.
Q: Do you like warm weather? *love* warm weather. Hate aircon. Am perpetually cold.
ehhehe! Awesome, Donna!
I’ll ask a question since Donna probably got tired after all her answers!
Q: Do you consider yourself a technophobe, a geek, or someone who gets by with the tech knowledge they need but nothing more?
A: I transcend all technology… it is a representation of the first four dimensions, whereas, I am clearly situated in the fourth and a half dimension. I find technology interesting and useful, but not entirely satisfying…. infact, I regularly think technology is equally a part of any problem as well as a solution. (( I guess I would be tech-agnostic ))
Q: What was the scariest time you ever died? ((and, if you havent been through it yet… the closest you have came to it? ))
A: So many options to choose from for this answer… I think my favourite would have to be when the surgeon punctured my lung during my rib resection, and I couldn’t breath when they brought me out of the anesthetic. Very scary. ICU for days afterwards. Good times.
Q: Do you deal with stress well?
A: yup, I used to freak out, but over the years I have learned how to laugh at just about anything. So rather than being downtrodden I’ll smile and thing about how unusual that is.
Q: What is your favorite spot for a long vacation?
A lazy bed and breakfast with a comfortable bed and a hot tub–doesn’t have to be luxury, but comfort is a must. Said bed and breakfast should be somewhere with mountains, small towns, and historic spots to explore during the day.
How many animals live with you?
A: None, unless my roommate counts? …Just kidding, Tyler.
Q: Are you taking a vacation away this year? Where to?
I am from my job, but I’m spending 2 weeks at a forensic anthropology field school. I’m totally geekcited!
What’s the next gadget on your have to have it list?
An iPhone, but I can’t stand Cingular/AT&T… I guess I’ll have to settle for a new lens for my camera. Sigh…
Ginger or Mary Ann?
Both. At the same time. With the Skipper watching…
Gigidy-gigidy.
Q) Have you ever been caught naked? And what were you doing?
A: Caught… Yep. I used to have a 24×7 webcam, and one very early morning I ran into my office to grab a brush from my desk, and thought my camera was pointed in the other direction the night before. Nope. Then, I thought, oh well, no one will see me at 6am… Except that 1 friend lives in Sweden, which is 9 hours ahead, and did, in fact, screencap for posterity. Nice
Q: What was the dumbest thing you did as a kid?
