Singlehood… And what I like about it:
I thought I’d do a list of everything I like about being single, because sometimes I need the reminder
1. Being free to go out with friends on a moments notice without having to arrange it with someone else.
2. (When not living with a roommate) Coming home to the house exactly the way I left it… I really enjoy this.
3. Being able to watch a chick-flick without having to sell it to someone else.
4. Falling asleep to the news.
5. Having a streaming webcam, and not making anyone else feel like they are being put out by it.
6. The toilet seat is ALWAYS down.
7. My favourite ice cream is still in the fridge weeks later when I remember it’s there.
8. Going away on vacation with girlfriends and not worrying about someone feeling left out of the loop.
9.
The ability to admire men… Even from a distance, and not feel like I’m cheating because I think they’re adorable.
10. Having lots of time to spend with close friends, and not leaving anyone out.
11. east of eden dvdrip download Hair waxing, when I feel like doing it, is only for me… (and I don’t feel like I have to be so fastidious about it)
12. Taking random walks without having to explain to anyone where I’m going.
13. No fights! Ever! Fighting with myself is pointless
14. No stress. See above. If I’m having a bad day, I’ve only got myself to blame.
15. The option to get excited about someone new. I love that… And I can have it whenever I want.
16. If I don’t feel like talking to anyone for a whole weekend, I don’t have to.
17. There’s no compromises to make.
And stay tuned… Because tomorrow I’m going to share what I love about being in a serious relationship, as a contrast.
And now it’s your turn! What do you like about being single? (Even if it was years ago?)

hmm…I’m kinda of actually sick of being single but I would have to say that a couple of good things about being single is you get to choose your own decor for your home without having to compromise and you don’t have to worry about someone ruining your delicates by putting them in the wrong wash load (good intentions aside).
Not too much else though, I rather like men being around
Heh – Patricia, you are so right about the delicates in the laundry!!
I haven’t been single for a long time, but when my fiance takes business trips, some of the things I enjoy are being able to cook what I want without worrying about pleasing his extra-picky palate, being able to sprawl out on the entire bed all night long, and sleeping in my comfy but definitely not sexy PJ’s and then wearing them all day while reading an awesome fiction book.
Hi..I dropped by to greet you a HAppy Bloggy’ Anniversary!!..Ten years..that’s amazing!…
I read your other posts down and truly enjoyed them..shivered though when you described your worst date ever. Do take care.
As for the being single..yipes..like that was 18 years ago…but I loved being able to talk to have coffee or a coke with any friend..girl or guy without having to think twice about other things to do…
When my hubz is on a business trip I consider myself single ( well..I mean..single in a sense that he’s not with me..um’..meaning..I can be by myself..)and enjoy the time being alone not having to worry about putting up dinner and all that….err…am’ ranting here..sorry…
N’ways…You have a great day :>
Hey guys! I totally hear you. It’s not that I’m always happy single, P… I’m just reminding myself about the things that I do enjoy while I am unencumbered. When I was married for 13 years, and off on my own for a weekend, it was really nice to have a glimpse into singlehood from time to time!
Welcome, Lady Luxie! I’m glad you made it by!
Freedom. Glorious freedom.
God, I love this.
you have a streaming web cam?
hmmm…drinking out of the milk carton? nope. i don’t do that.
i’ve got it. after 18 years of strict rules, i no longer make the bed. if i were in a relationship this would change, post haste.
ooo, and leaving makeup on the bathroom counter when i’m in a rush.
mck.
Heh! I can totally relate to those! Thankfully, I’ve got an extended bathroom counter to accommodate the makeup left out
Hehe! I totally don’t put my makeup away and I live with my fiance. But he’s messier than me so he’s hardly about to complain.
