It's the MID-WEEK Socializing Game!
Hey guys! It’s that time of the week, again… Time to socialize on the fly! (And, I’ll have one of those shots in the photo, please!)
Here’s how it works:
Who Am I? full movie Ripper 2: Letter from Within hd I’ll start with a question, and the first person answers my question, and then asks a different question for the next person in the same comment.
I’ll start!
Have you ever been on a cruise? More than one? What was your most favourite destination?

Looks like I get to be first!
I’ve never been on a cruise (well, not the boat cruise type, anyway), but if I did go, I’d love to do an Alaskan cruise. Actually, even the Inside Passage ferry trip (Port Hardy to Prince Rupert) would kick ass.
So next question… have you ever take a trip by rail? If so, where? If not, would you, and where would you go?
A: I once went off the rails on a crazy train…
That’s OZZIE PEOPLE!!! Don’t tell me you don’t remember…
Q: Have you ever had an epiphany? What was it?
A: You bet… It was in the middle of an 18 car pile up that changed my life. The firetruck was coming right for me, and I thought to myself, I’m not ready to die yet. I haven’t lived… And, I woke up, and changed my life completely after that.
Q: What are you craving right now?
A: A Milestones Bellini on a patio with no smokers in site.
Q. What are you looking forward to this upcoming long weekend?
Charlene! Cheers to that… Damn smokers ruining our perfectly good, and beautiful patios around town!
A: I’m looking forward to a long-anticipated dinner party at Zoe and Jason’s, and getting together with friends throughout the weekend!
Q: Look around where you are sitting right now — what’s the first red thing you see?
A red Swingline stapler.
Do you like moving for the change it brings, or do you prefer to stay in one place for longer periods of time (e.g. more than 4 years)?
A: Since I don’t have my place I’m tied to moving every so often. It seems to be a good way for me to throw out the stuff I don’t need. 4 times in say a 4 months period is a bit too much though (did that once before).
Darn Charlene took my question already.
Q: Do you have a Nalgene water bottle? If so what colour is it?
A: It’s “Shadow” coloured! (and it’s “outbound” but same dif!)
Q: Are you excited about iPhone and phones like that (Crackberries?) or do you prefer to be disconnected off-hours?
I’m officially underwhelmed by the iPhone. So many other phones have been doing what it does for longer and better(even still). Sole exception is their funky touch screen, that’s rather cool. I actually have two phones, my crackberry for work, does what it needs to and does it well, but I’ll be moving to a Nokia E61 as its replacement soon. I like my business phone to be sans camera and other silly features(plus I’ve been to client sites where they confiscate camera phones at security due to NDA’s and other secret stuff going on.)
My personal cell phone, well bring on the gadgets and features. Just make it small, sleek and smartly designed.
Q: Does your phone have an MP3 player built in and do you actually use it?
A. Nope, I only have a pay n’ talk phone which I use almost never (it’s for emergencies).
Q. What is your favourite weird sandwich concoction? (brownie points if you invented it yourself).
Oooh, Patricia, a question made for me!
I didn’t invent it…the British did…but my all time favorite sandwich is…a french fry sandwich.
Start with a thick slice of homemade white bread (warm, of course), slather it with a slab of butter, place piping hot french fries on one side only, then fold over the other side. Bite down (watch the heat!) and enjoy!
Q. What was your favourite game as a child?
I hate to break the flow, but I have to answer Patricia’s question: my mom used to make us peanut butter and chocolate chip sandwiches for lunch when we were in school. It’s like having a Reese’s for lunch
I also like peanut butter on baloney… with or without the bread
Um, EW, Matt!
Yuck! LOL… that’s not a sandwich. That said, I know some of my British friends enjoy a “crisps sandwich” from time to time. That’s just so wrong on so many levels!!
To answer Dearhearts…
A: I’d have to say, Monopoly! I LOVE board games, and wished I’d had more time to play them as a kid. That said, as an adult… I do pretty well.
Q: What did you have for dinner tonight?
short flow break. The french fry sandwich (I researched it) is called a “chip butty” which is apparently popular at british football games.
A. Let’s see I had (for dinner): a boiled egg, a large sports salad with tomatoes, romain lettuce, brocolli and cauliflower. A banana, some dates and a cup of coffee. I ate a big lunch today so I wasn’t too hungry when I got home. Just stressed.
Q. What was your fave book when you were a kid? (the kind you read over and over and couldn’t get enough of).
A. Watership Down – it even made me cry and I do not cry easily (even when Paul beats me, hard).
I have to answer the sandwich Q!
A. Vegemite, cheese and lettuce and no I cannot attribute this to my own culinary creativity. I discovered this tasty delight when I swapped my lunch in Grade 2 with a fellow classmate.
Char – I have TOTALLY been craving a Bellini. Maybe we need to make that happen on Fri night? Tanya – are you avail too?
Q. Do any of you Canucks like Vegemite?
Rachel-I have a friends birthday dinner Friday. But am free rest of the weekend.
A. Hate vegemite
Q. To you Vancouverites, what is the best kept restaurant in Vancouver? Good food, cheap prices and not widely advertised?
SHAO LIN!!! Seriously some of the best noodles I have ever ever had – all hand made to order. Dirt cheap, fast service and oh so good.
What was the last random act of kindness you experienced?
A. homeless guy with a dog lets his (very large) dog play with my weinerdogs … and yesterday, gave my dogs a nice treat (his big dog also wants everyone to know he willingly shared).
B. What song most energizes you when you need it?
A: Sheryl Crowe: All I Wanna Do…
Q: What was the last conference you attended? Did you enjoy your experience?
A: I went to Ladies Who Launch Live here in Vancouver last year- it was interesting- too bad there isn’t one this year! my dream conference is the HOW design conference. some year i will actually go. kicking myself for missing the vegas one.
Q: Martinis: Gin or vodka, shaken or stirred? or….?
A: Vanilla Vodka, shaken, with Raspberry juice!
Q: Where is your computer located in your home?
Computer(s) are located in my home office overlooking the ocean and the mountains off to the side. I stare out the window when I need a creative boost. The ocean is my ‘peace’
Hi Leanna! Welcome…
You forgot to leave a question
(Just in case anyone still wants to play)
Q: Do you like walking in the rain?
Oops..a blogpaux..my bad
A. No I dont like walking in the rain BUT I like fishing in the rain. Wearing full rain gear early in the morning(and I am not a morning person) is very peaceful & serene. And salmon are jumping in the boat when its raining(at least on the end of my rod)
Q. What is the one thing in your life you wish you could do over?
