It's the mid-week socializing game!Hey guys! It’s that time of the week, again… Time to socialize on the fly! (And, I’ll have one of those shots in the photo, please!)

Here’s how it works: I’ll start with a question, and the first person answers my question, and then asks a different question for the next person in the same comment.

I’ll start!

  • Matt says:

    Sex.

Yeah, I know, big shock, guy craves sex, film at 11.

Sickie sex is the best tho… especially when you’re woozy with the flu or something. ;)

  • Jason says:

    A: I crave meds!

Q: Do you download tv shows from online?

  • ritchie says:

Humm, that is actually a good question. For me, I crave comfort food lots of thick soup, rice (cause I’m Filipino) and horrible horrible spam :)

  • Laura says:

    K since Matt didn’t ask a Q I’ll answer Tanya’s as well!

I crave tea and English muffins with Marmite on them. Do not try this if you didn’t grow up with Marmite, I promise you won’t like it. But soooooo good if you like the stuff.

Sex would be the LAST thing I would crave when sick. Ick. Nothing like passing on your germs to your partner and making them sick so they can give it right back to you a week later when you’re all better.

Q: What would you do with $10,000?

  • A: Pay off my bills and go away on vacation! (Man, do I need a vacation right now — I realized while I was sick at home the last few days that I’ve only been off/away from work for a total of a week in 18 months, and that was a family vacation, which had it’s moments)

Q: What did you want to be, when you grew up?

  • Tawcan says:

A: It seemed to change every year lol. I think at one point I wanted to be an astronaut (I mean, who didn’t?). Eventually the idea of becoming a professional athlete became appealing. Right now though, I want to grow up to be the owner of a NHL team…I’ll keep wishing :)

Q: Do you get irritated seeing people typing extremely slowly with two fingers and then have an urge of teaching them how to type properly?

  • A: (Tawcan, I just HAD to answer this one!!) YESSSS! Man, that drives me NUTS! I always wonder, when watching someone young enough to grow up in the ‘net age, how they got anywhere typing with 2 fingers? Seriously?

    Q: What’s a pet peeve of yours?

  • Rick says:

OoOoOo… damn, you only asked for ONE!!! I have tons!! But would have to say the toliet paper has to hang so it rolls off the top of the roll would be my number 1 pet peeve.

Q: Exactly how fast (words/minute) can you type?

  • Hannah says:

Usually, 50 to sixty. but with my right hand broken these days, about 5 wpm.

Do you call anyone for sympathy when you’re sick, or do you prefer to tough it out? why?

  • Laura says:

A: Well neither really. I’m a bit of a wimp and moan about at home when I’m sick, so I would hardly call that “toughing it out” but I don’t call people for sympathy either. Because it’s irritating in the same sort of way that fishing for compliments is irritating.

Q: If you were to have a baby, what would you name it if it were a girl or a boy?

  • shnewt says:

A: Jesus Christ. It’s actually a very nice name. If it was a girl, I would call her Heavenly Mother Mary. That way I know that she’ll stay celibate her whole life. I mean, what guy is going to screw around with Heavenly Mother Mary??

Q: Has a TV commercial ever made you cry?

  • A: Cry? No… Laugh… Lots! My favourite commercials are still the “hand in your pocket, hand in your pocket, hand in your pocket…” jingle ads. Actually their latest “You’ve got bankers” is stupidly funny too. But cry? Nope.

Q: Have you looked up family members online or on Facebook that you’ve never met? (Blog entry later this week or early next week on this particular topic for me)

  • Tawcan says:

Answer to the WPM one…. about 90-100. Hence my question. ;)

    A: Nope I haven’t.

Q: What kind of image comes to your mind when the word “New Orleans” is mentioned?

  • Patricia says:

    A. The 1985 version of “Cat People”, probably because I just recently saw it again and it was filmed in New Orleans. The old homes there were so beautiful and there was so much history in them. It’s a shame that much of that was destroyed.

    Q. What is the most bizarre flavour of ice cream you’ve ever tried?

  • Cynthia says:

A: ooh i’m not adventurous but green tea gelato was the weirdest one- and quite yummy i must say!
though i’ve been to that place off commercial drive that makes the wacky ones like dill pickle, cayenne pepper, etc. but i didn’t want to waste an ice cream treat on a weird flavour!

Q; Have you ever been told you look like someone else, like a celebrity or… and if so, who? (And if so, do you think so too?)

  • Laura says:

A: Yes, but I don’t really like my “celebrity look-alike.” Before I recently lost 15 pounds, I bore a rather striking resemblance to Jenna Bush. Not from every angle but particularly when I smiled really wide.

Q: What’s your best headache remedy?

  • richgold says:

    A. Ah, this is a hard one for me as I usually don’t get headaches. DH does though, so I’ll use his remedy: cold face cloth to the eyes, and lie down in a dark and quiet room.

    Q. Boxers or briefs?

  • A: I like boxers with a slighly brief look, does that make sense? I guess they look more like short biker shorts. Boxers are too baggy, and briefs, well… no. Especially the tighty whities. Yick.

Q: What did you have for lunch today?

  • Tawcan says:

A: dumplings and bacon & beans soup.

Q: Do you wear a watch? If so which side?

  • Russ says:

A: Yes I wear a simple and comfortable watch on my left wrist.

Q: Of you could have a cup of coffee with anyone from your country’s history, who would it be?

  • Lara says:

The Dionne Quintuplets – I was always fascinated when I was a kid about what it would be like to be one of five in a litter – and then be watched under a microscope.

While we are on Canadiana – what do you think of Brian Mulroney’s bash on Trudeau?

  • A: One word… “Victim” — T and I watched some of it the other night, and I couldn’t believe the bullsh** coming out of that man’s mouth. [place eye roll here]

Q: What blog did you visit before this one?

  • utenzi says:

A: My last visit was to Michelle’s blog down in Australia, Tan. She’s got some pretty pictures up near the Coral Sea.

Q: My project this weekend is making risotto for the first time, and my question is do you have any special culinary plans for the weekend?

  • A: In fact, I do! I’m participating in my first Supperclub at Campoverde this weekend (that is the social club I just purchased a lifetime membership to). Should be a really nice time, with interesting new people to meet, and a four course dinner to enjoy as well. Good luck with the Risotto. I hear the trick is not to overcook it. :)

    Q: What’s your favourite treat?

  • Raul says:

A: I usually treat myself to chocolate, marshmallow cheesecake, grape jello or a cold capuccino. If I could name the one treat, I would think it’s marshmallow cheesecake.

Q: Have you ever been heartbroken and if so, what did you do to overcome it?

  • Lara says:

    A: Took up kick-boxing.

Q: Toronto/Montreal/Halifax/Vancouver/Other – which Canadian City is your “fav”?

  • A: Hands down, Vancouver. And not just because it’s home either — This is absolutely the most beautiful place on earth (and, I’ve seen many cities). That said, Montreal is a beautiful place to visit, and I actually have only seen photos of Halifax (I really must get there soon).

Q: Are you big into photography? What type of photos do you find yourself taking, usually?
