It's the MID-WEEK Socializing Game!

It's the mid-week socializing game!Hey guys! It’s that time of the week, again… Time to socialize on the fly! (And, I’ll have one of those shots in the photo, please!)

Here’s how it works:

I’ll start with a question, and the first person answers my question, and then asks a different question for the next person in the same comment.

I’ll start!

For the Canadians: Are you doing anything special for Thanksgiving this weekend? For the Americans: Do you think it’s weird that we Canadians celebrate thanksgiving so soon after Summer? Breathless dvdrip

I find it weird that Americans celebrate Thanksgiving so close to Christmas.

Uh, special… I would hope I’ll be invited to my dad’s for a big dinner, but I may just stay home and drink beer while watching TV on the couch, being thankful for the couch and the TV and the beer.

To heck with new questions, I’m just answering this one: I’m combining my “I’ve been in Africa for a month, it’s time to visit the parents and tell them about my trip” visit with turkey on Saturday. I think that’s pretty skookum.

I like turkey. And Africa. Win-win.

I’m answering your q as well: I’ll be going out to the Cranberry fest in Fort Langley, buying a few bottles of vino at the Fort Wine Company, then helping the darling boy prep Turkey for 19. And I may have to have a few too many glasses of wine :D

  • Sounds lovely, guys! I’ll answer my own question, too! :) (why buck the trend, hey?) Saturday, I’m going to Campoverde for a turkey dinner (on my own… hey, maybe there’s some single guys there who want turkey, too?) and Monday, I’m off to Miranda & Reilly’s place for another dinner. :) I’m really looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with Miranda & Reilly and crew!

Q: (only if you want a different question, that is! :) ) What is your most anticipated holiday of the year, usually? (if any?) Is it just because you get time off, or more than that?

  • Cynthia says:

A; halloween, even though it’s not a stat, it’s my & my hubby’s wedding anniversary!
and we get to dress up and be scary. and drink witches brew. hee!

Q: what would you be doing right now if you didn’t have to be at work?

  • A: NAPPING. SLEEPING. ANYTHING THAT HAS ME WITH A FUZZY BLANKET, and my eyes closed. (ps: See you tonight, C!)

Q: Do you like your office brightly lit, or dark?

  • Tawcan says:

    A: Brightly lit.

    Q: Sushi or Greek food?

  • Jen says:

A: Sushi. Most of the time. But a nice roast leg of lamb… mmmmm….. I’m getting hungry…

Q: What colour is your favourite coffee mug?

  • Patricia says:

    A. White but, (he he) it has a graphic on the inside of the cup that looks like a dangling tea bag — and on the outside there is the graphic of the white paper tag thingy that you typically see on the opposite end of the teabag. It’s pretty realistic looking, I’ve often thought that I forgot to pull the tea bag out and went to grab it and then thinking “gosh darnit, it foiled me again!”.

    Q. Have you ever posed for a piece of art (like a hand drawn portrait, sculpture etc….)?

  • rachel says:

A: Does a caricature count? I have done that a couple of times – once in a kewl restaurant not far from Circular Quay in Sydney and once on Robson in Vancouver – the pic from Sydney was much better (very cartoony and funny). No idea where either of those pics are now. I asked hubby (when he was boyfriend many yrs ago) if I could pose for a life drawing class (a gay friend was doing a course at ECIAD) and he vetoed that! I can hear the comments back from that from the audience now.

Q: Opinions on the following: Grand Canyon vs. Zion and Bryce Canyons? We are visiting this area in the next 2 weeks for our Road Trip!

  • Julie Anne says:

I would have to say Bryce Canyon and Zion, but I’m a bit partial cause I was born and raised in Utah. The Grand Canyon is awesome, but the best way to see it is to actually go in the canyon, which takes some planning. Bryce and Zion are expansive and beautiful with tons of different offerings and adventures.

I hope you have a lovely trip!

  • Sounds like an awesome trip… ;) Wish I could get time off to join you guys in Vegas, Rachel, but it doesn’t look like I can.

Q: Are you having a good morning?

  • Charlene says:

    Hi Tanya,

    A. Great morning! Beautiful day! Early 2 hour lunch, lots of errands accomplished.

    Q. Roast turkey or roast lamb for Thanksgiving? I’m lucky to get both. Lamb on Saturday and turkey on Sunday and I don’t have to cook either. Have a great Thanksgiving long weekend everyone!

  • A: Definitely turkey, all the way! :) It’s tradition! I’m not really a fan of lamb, and I never eat pork, so that’s out, too. Just white meat for me!!

Q: Do you like stuffing? (as in the turkey, not the pillow kind, hehe)

  • richgold says:

A: Stuffing is ok. I like mine with nuts and celery. (A goosed-up Stove Top isn’t so bad either. I don’t think we’re doing stuffing Sunday as we’re doing a roast. Yorkshire pudding! Yum.)

Q: Toilet paper – over or under?

  • Patricia says:

    A. I dunno… wait… I’ll run and look…huh, whaddyaknow the t.p. is over….

Q.What is your favourite kind of pie?

  • hehe… on the toilet paper roll… good one!

A: Strawberry Rhubarb, hands down!!! YUUUUMY!

Q: Do you gamble at casinos? What’s the most you won? What do you play?
