It’s the MID-WEEK Socializing Game!
Hey guys! It’s that time of the week, again… Time to socialize on the fly! (And, I’ll have one of those shots in the photo, please!)
Here’s how it works: I’ll start with a question, and the first person answers my question, and then asks a different question for the next person in the same comment.
I’ll start!

No, because then I have to turn off my music to enjoy the blog. I just like lots of pictures.
Where is the most interesting place you’ve been kissed?
I once dated this freaky chic who liked to kiss under my… oh, you mean geographically… hmm. My wife and I eloped to Turkey and on the day of our wedding, we’re allowed to go into Ephesus after it was closed off to tourists (we had befriended locals who got us in). So we were surrounded by this ancient, decayed city… standing on the same road Cleopatra and Mark Antony once rode as the sun was setting and kissed. This was our wedding day. And it was amazing.
Q: Have you ever fallen in love with someone that ended up being a psycho (and not someone who became a psycho after you split up)?
A: No question… Yes.
I won’t detail here, though. I think I might have talked about it offline with you, but if I haven’t, ask me about it!
Q: Where’s your next vacation going to be?
A: Mexico- I hope! and sooner than later, I hope!
Q: how tall are you & do you wish you were taller or shorter or are you just right?
A: I’m 5″11. I kinda wish I’m a bit taller. 6″2 or 6″4 would be a nice number I think.
Q: Who do you think will win the World Series? Colorado or Boston?
A: I’m hoping for Colorado, because of the pitcher!
Q: Do you keep a water bottle on your desk? If so, do you actually USE it?
A. Not a waterbottle but I do keep a tin of green tea and my mug at my computer. Good way to ‘zen out’ at work.
Q. Do you have any cool magnets on your refrigerator?
A. I have a sand dollar and a seastar made of pewter that I picked up on a holiday in Nova Scotia a couple years back.
Q. What was the last good foreign film you have seen?
A: Oh man… I am trying to remember the name of it. Hmmm. It was good, but I fell asleep. Cin & Vern were over (and I always fall asleep when I watch a movie with Cin haha!) It was a German movie about the Nazi era — And everyone who knows me well, knows I love to throw Hitler into analogies where he doesn’t belong.
I’ll have to figure out what movie that was, though.
Q: Do you have a Sunday morning ritual?
A: i have a sunday morning ritual once a month. that’s when i have a loooong telephone conversation with my friend nikolai, an ex boyfriend from a few hundred years ago, who lives in germany.
Q: are YOU friends with ex lovers?
was the movie “black book” (with Sebastien Koch? sigh…)
A. ritual, not really. I do like slurping nescafe cappuccino’s in my ‘jammies though.
Q. Did you ever have a pet when you were a kid, that had a dorky name?
Isabella was missed so I’ll answer both!
A: (Isabella) You bet… Except for my ex-husband (just not in touch anymore) and my recent one, which is probably a good thing. In fact, although Vern and I dated for close to 2 years, we were able to take all the great stuff from that relationship, and move it into an awesome friendship that is far more healthy for both of us.
A: (Patricia) Hmmm… My second dog, which was only alive for about a year (got hit by a car, sadly) was named Whiskey. Heck, I didn’t name him… My Dad did
Q: Do you have a stationary fetish? (I do…!)
A: stationary or stationery? i used to have the latter, i just love paper in all its forms. okay, it wasn’t a fetish in the fetish sense. pretty notepaper wouldn’t get my hormones going. but when i was a preteen, i spent a considerable amount of what little money i had on these things and i still look back on that quite fondly (again, not “fondlingly”
)
Q: when you grew up, did you have one of those doting aunts or other relatives/parents’ friends who spoiled you rotten?
A. Sort of. My granny organized easter egg hunts for us. Oodles of fun on her large property.
Q. I have to ask a Halloween-related question. What scary movie had you scared for weeks after you saw it, you know..hide under the bed scared? (Mine was the Omen, the Gregory Peck & Lee Remick one).
A: nowadays movies scare me so easily, it doesn’t take much. but back when i was a tad more resilient: repulsion, a polanski movie – i actually walked out of it the first time i saw it, it scared me so much. i also saw hitchcock’s psycho when i was pregnant with my first child and for a while honestly wondered whether watching that movie while pregnant might harm him.
B: ok, another hallowe’en question – do you believe in magic? as in otherworldly, witchy, hard-to-explain magic?
A. Yes. Ghosts. Afterlife. All that spooky stuff.
Q. Have you become what you wanted to be when you grew up or are you still growing up?
A: (great question!) I’m actually following a very different career path than originally intended — (I was ‘this close’ to entering schooling to become a physician in the military) But, looking back, I definitely had entrepreneurial and marketing skills, even as a young child (I used to sell candy out of my knapsack in Elementary school!)
Q: Do you think all the no-fat, low-fat options out there are making North America fatter?
