It's the MID-WEEK SOCIALIZING GAME!
Hey guys! It’s that time of the week, again… Time to socialize on the fly! (And, I’ll have one of those shots in the photo, please!)
Here’s how it works: I’ll start with a question, and the first person answers my question, and then asks a different question for the next person in the same comment.
I’ll start!
Where was the favourite location that your lived… Was it a condo, or a house, or…? And, why?

My favourite place that I’ve lived would be my Grandma’s old house. It was old and had so many weird nooks and crannies that made it great for hide and seek and lots of cool play areas for make-believe games. Ahem, I was a child when I lived there.
Q: When was the last time you had a hug and with whom?
A; My hubby last night when we found out our condo sold! woo!!
Q: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
cynthia’s last blog post: thiiiiiiiiis close
Congrats, Cynthia!!!
A: Oh wow. I’ve actually thought ALOT about living in London, England. I’ve got the ability to work there with my passport, but my friends and family have kept me here. We’ll see — You know not what the future has in store sometimes.
Q: When was the last time you thought about a large, wholesale change in your life? Did you follow through with it?
A: I did, and that was in 1996. Surprising (and crazy as it may sound), I stayed in the country where I was born because my (then) “best friend” needed help finishing his undergraduate degree. I sacrificed countless hours helping him with his homework, trying to talk him out of depression, spent thousands of dollars on breakfasts, lunches and dinners (where he didn’t even make an attempt to pay a bill, so it was all paid by yours truly). My family was (very rightfully) mad at me by that point. Then, one day he said that he didn’t really believe I had sacrificed that much to help him out, and that I must have had another reason to stay in the country. When he said that, I knew he clearly didn’t recognize all the hard work I had put into helping him out. I snapped out of it and I told him “well, you know, seeing as you have no gratitude towards me, it’s time I dump your sorry ass and move on with my life, and that includes moving away from this country”. Then I proceeded to dump him and moved to Canada. I have never spoken to him ever since, and I couldn’t be happier. That was a very large change in my life and I am proud of myself for having gone through with it.

Q: is God real to you?
david, in Big Bear Lake’s last blog post: have you read about Emma?
ok now I have to answer raul, since we posted at ( almost ) the same time.

Is God real to you?
david, in Big Bear Lake’s last blog post: have you read about Emma?
A: I’m a heathen, I guess. I’m spiritual, but I don’t believe there’s one single higher power that controls everything, no. I went through 11 different religions at a young age until I finally decided that was my faith.
Check this out, though: http://www.netchick.ca/images/findgod.jpg — Apparently Google thinks I need to find God.
Q: Where did you last go out for a nice meal? Was it worth the price?
Joe Fortes – four bottles of wine, king crab, halibut, tuna and shrimp cocktail and more. Didn’t pay – was definitely worth it!
A: Went out to Mongolie Grill for lunch with co-workers. I put way too much meat so it ended up being quite expensive. It was worth the price though.
Q:
If you’re from Vancouver…Lately the weather has been fabulous in Vancouver. Name a few ways of enjoying this nice weather trend.
If you’re not from Vancouver. Do you like warm winter (no snow, 10+C) or freezing cold winter (lots snow, below 0C)?
Tawcan’s last blog post: I’m utterly utterly lost
Oh ya – is your company getting bigger or smaller?
TAWCAN’s question: Freezing cold winters
LARA’s question: bigger
Do you bring your own bag to the grocery store or carry your stuff home in the plastic bags they provide?
No, I carry it home in the plastics they give me. I know, I know…I’m a terrible person. At least I reuse the bags, though.
Q: How long was/is your longest romantic relationship?
Karl’s last blog post: Lacking That Spring Freshness
A: Was married for 5 years. That was a long time ago.
Q: Worst restaurant you’ve been to in Vancouver?
Roger’s last blog post: Uncertain future
A: Pepitas at Burrard and West 4th. Worst. Meal. Ever.
Q: You have a choice of going to Tuscany in June for a week or Jamaica in December for a week – which one do you choose and why?
A: Uh. Hands down Tuscany. I dislike Jamaica with a passion… I don’t even get off the cruise ship if it docks there anymore.
Q: What’s the happiest thing to happen to you lately?
Aw, Tanya, too many happy things have happened to me lately…
* Seen my dear and beautiful friends (at different times and places).
* Realized that my nephew and sister in law are coming to Vancouver to visit me!
* Seen my blog readership increase.
* Written a couple of nice blog posts that have been widely read.
* Done some meaningful work. And almost finished with a paper!
Q.- Coffee or chocolate? And why?
Raul’s last blog post: Coffe place review – Bean Around the World (Main and Broadway)
A: Do I have to choose? Really?
Well, if I had to choose, I’d pick a really, really good cup of java over chocolate. (like, the type of coffee I got addicted to when I visited Panama… HOLY that was amazing coffee!)
Q: What are you looking forward to, this weekend? Man, I can’t believe it’s taken so long to get here!
A: Looking forward to maybe catching a movie and playing on the Nintendo Wii. Lots of fun. Also need to motivate myself and write my weekly newspaper column by Sunday.
Q: What was the last film you saw in a theater?
Karl’s last blog post: Big 7-0 and Favorite Wii Games
I saw “No Country for Old Men” (with Tanya, no less!) Great film, wonderful acting and very unhollywood. Yeah Cohen brothers!

Oh, spacy, selfish me! Forgot to ask a question.
OK: what is your favorite season & why?
Monica Hamburg’s last blog post: Have Hot Aggregate Sex Now – Don’t Delay!
Summer in Vancouver because its beautiful and sunny. Or winter in Ottawa with the sun and shining snow. I just hate rain. I live in the wrong city.
And how do you deal with stupid people? Do you feel sorry for them and treat them kindly or do you mock them?
A.- Normally, I treat them very kindly. However, there’s a fine line between being stupid and being obnoxious. Stupid people who do not realize they are stupid, I can deal with. But stupid people who then pretend they’re smarter than me (when quite obviously they are not) really make me angry. Those, I have absolutely no patience for. And I’m quite good at making obnoxious and stupid people feel even stupider (heck, I have an ability to make SMART people feel stupid! – how about that?)
Q.- What did you do this past weekend (I realize it’s Monday!)
Raul’s last blog post: Weekend roundup
A. Well, it’s Tuesday now. But, so glad you asked.
Saturday was very busy. I did an installation of my photography at a local hair salon (http://kitchenwallgallery.blogspot.com/ for my virtual gallery site). Then there was dropping one child unit off at a friends, going out for breakfast, picking up said unit and off to soccer, followed by a rousing session of laundry and match-the-socks game well into the evening.
Sunday was quieter. Grocery shopping. Laundry. Church. And a walk through the hood. And I even think I got a nap in. Pleasant in many respects.
Q. Seeing at the West (prairies) are having a wee bit of a cold snap (-45 today), and the middle of Canada (Ontario) is getting rain, would you rather have a prolonged heat wave, or a short cold snap to live through? (Given the choice.)
