Hold me to it?
All… Riiighty… Then!
I’m dedicated to reaching my fitness goals. I have a plan…
When: March 1st (because I have the winefest the day before)
Why: Because, man, I need to get into shape, BAD.
Where
: My home gym to start, and after I move, wherever my trainer will work from.
Who: My 30-lb. overweight self, who seriously needs to get healthy.
How Executive Decision divx
: Adjusting my diet, working out four times a week, and removing social drinking and treats from the equation.
Let’s face it. I get winded if I have to go up more than a few flights of stairs. That’s really pathetic, when I used to row competitively. Stress in the past has elicited weight loss, but as I’ve gotten older, it’s done the exact opposite… Which is weird, since I actually eat less. But I now recognize that eating less is fruitless, because my body just starts eating my muscle tissue… And, hey, I don’t have much of that to be losing right now.
So, dearest readers, I’m committing to myself to lose 26 lbs by my birthday, which is June 9th. Totally do-able. That’s exactly 2 lbs. a week, while giving myself a week leeway to ensure the goal is met.
No, I don’t want this blog to turn into a weight loss blog. But, at the same time, I will be updating you once a week with my progress. Don’t look for my exact weight or measurements here, because I’m not going to give them until I’ve reached my goal. I’m sure that goal weight will allow me to once again wear my size 7/8 clothes, without them feeling tight. Which shows that it isn’t just the scale that I’ll be using to measure my success.
Wish me luck… And, if you catch me with even a small glass of wine in my hand between March 1st and my birthday, kick me HARD. There’s no room in my calorie allotment for any treats, wine included. Hey, it’s only 3 months… I can do it!!

Sweet tip, thanks Jen!!!
Excellent resolution, Tanya! I personally don’t think you need to lose any weight, but hey if you want to do it and you’re going to stick to the plan, then so be it! And I’ll probably join you in the process, as I also want to lose weight and gain more aerobic capacity.
Hope you’re doing well and look forward to seeing you soon! So that means that the glass of wine we had at Third Tuesday will be our last
