Another meandering blog post.
Um. I thought I said I’d blog more often?! What happened?
Life’s been great, actually. Busy, but good. I’m not complaining.
Last weekend, the Vancouver International Wine Festival was a good time with Miranda, Reilly, Josh, and Vern… But, I was already in non-drinking mode by Friday night (as well as having a bit of a queasy stomach all day… Not sure why, but it did dissipate by that evening) For some reason, Miranda and I just weren’t into drinking copious amounts of wine — Meh? So, we left the wine fest by about 9. I elected to get a fairly early night after my busy week.
Oh, and I forgot to mention in earlier posts, I took Monday and Tuesday off this week from work. I had time to take, because of my crazy work schedule the few weeks before that. I used that time to do all my running around for the move, sign leases, deal with my RRSP placement and other banking matters, and get organized for my move happening in a few short weeks. It felt like I was running around constantly for four days. By the time mid-Tuesday rolled around, I decided to shut myself off from the world, and read and do absolutely nothing. It was good.
Wow, this post is really disjointed, isn’t it?
I finished the first phase of a web community for one of my major clients (a Canadian TV network), and was able to flip the switch to live last week… That was great to finally have that off and running. I’m really happy with how my design worked out… If you want to know which site it was, drop me a comment, and I’ll send you a link (I don’t like to post work-based sites on my personal blog for obvious reasons).
This weekend, I’m heading down to see a new client, and work with Miranda Multiplicity ipod on a photo shoot at their resort, for a brand new web community, and online reservation system, that I’ll be working on for the next three months. This client is an unusual client for us to take on, but one that will be fun and different to work with. Should prove to be an interesting weekend…
Although I take possession early next week, I’m probably not going to start moving my things into my new place until around the 15th. That said, I’ve got a heck of a lot of packing to get started on, and thankfully, I’ve got plastic moving crates being delivered tomorrow to make my move much less stressful. Thanks for the moving box
recommendation, Jen!
Okay… It’s time for me to get back to work! I hope you are all having a fantastic week! Are you looking forward to anything fun, this weekend? Evil Bong II: King Bong dvdrip Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade psp

Hi Tanya!
Well, this weekend – I am hoping my Saturday will be fairly quiet, as my Friday — I’m double booked. Sunday sounds like it will be fun. And I’ve finally moved to WordPress! So please update your blogroll
Raul’s last blog post: Please update your bookmarks and blogrolls – I’ve moved
Hi T:
Busy-ness can be a good thing (because then you really appreciate the quiet times). What book are you reading? good? (I’m still working on World War Z).
I’ve been setting up my computer (I escaped from the futureshop sales person who tried to get me to spend an extra $100 letting them do it,… ha! I say!).
I hurt myself this week doing something weird…I was eating a piece of yummy toffee … moved my jaw in a the wrong way… ouch! Still hurts and it gave me a splitting headache (’cause all those muscles are connected). Geez, does this stuff only happen to me? :-S
Have fun at your photoshoot with your friends.
Take care,
P.
Good luck with the move, T.
My plans call for a little solo kayaking on a local lake and trying to get my workshop cleaned up and ready for the next project, which will be a combination wine rack and mini bar.
I’m also looking forward to the time change… we’ll finally be back to having an outdoor life after work each night. WOOHOO!!!
Russ’s last blog post: Hello, it’s me…
Good luck with the move.
I’ll be doing some apartment hunting on Sat and heading to Whistler for some much needed skiing time.
Tawcan’s last blog post: Canucks won canucks won canucks won!!!
Raul, have a great weekend, and I’ll be sure to update my blogroll!! (congrats on the successful online move!)
Patricia, that’s fun! I just got a brand new Dual Core 3.0 ghz with 4 gigs of ram that I designed… Love it, except for the fan noise. I need to get in there, and replace some fans. I’m actually not impressed with the Vista x64 that I installed, either. Media center kinda sucks. What did you install for an OS?
Russ… Awesome! Sounds like a really fun project! I know how much fun you had with the boat!
Tawcan, Best of luck on the home hunting, and have a great time in Whistler!!
Hi T:
Mine is vista. It came preinstalled on the laptop. It seems to be okay thus far. Unfortunately they no longer give an OS disk with laptops anymore (and they don’t give them out from the manufacturer either). So part of my setup involved making a recovery disk, which I probably won’t need as the drive comes partitioned (but just in case). I have 2G of RAM which will be okay for my needs.:-)
Did take some time to do initial setup and I still have a few more things to do before I start using it for real …
