It's the MID-WEEK Socializing Game!

It's the mid-week socializing game!Hey guys! It’s that time of the week, again… Time to socialize on the fly! (And, I’ll have one of those shots in the photo, please!)

Here’s how it works: I’ll start with a question, and the first person answers my question, and then asks a different question for the next person in the same comment.

I’ll start!

When you are feeling sorry for yourself, what do you do to get out of your funk? Monster-in-Law movie

    Hi Tanya!

We missed you last night at Green Web 2.0 :( … hope the move went well though! :) I am healthy again, and loving it! So… answering your question…

A.- I usually call up a friend and go out, or if I’m feeling sad while at home, alone, then I cook some grape Jell-O and sit in front of the TV watching Ryan Reynolds’ movies with a glass of wine and lots, and lots of chocolate :)

Q.- What was the latest restaurant you tried for brunch?

Raul’s last blog post: After the “Evening of Green Web 2.0″…

  • darren says:

A – The latest restaurant I tried (and then decided to blog about)for brunch was

Q (for the next victim) – What’s it going to be with you…Granny Smith or Red Delicious?

darren’s last blog post: By: Kitsilano.ca » Vancouver Brunch 2.0

  • darren says:

was…Juliet’s Cafe (apologies for the suspense)!

  • (Hey Raul! …Ya, I’ve been really busy. I’m getting back into the swing of things now, though!)

A: Red Delicious — Although it used to be green granny smith. I guess my taste buds changed! Jeesh, now I’m hungry. Better head for lunch!

    Q: Do you recycle?

  • Tawcan says:

    A: Of course!

Q: Which do you prefer? Rain or snow?

Tawcan’s last blog post: My dream matchups

  • Russ says:

    A. Rain of course. If I wanted snow I would have stayed in Nebraska!!!

    Q. Which would you enjoy more, scanning the sky in the pre-dawn hours or post-sunset?

Russ’s last blog post: We waited, we watched…

  • sophie says:

    A. I love the sun in the morning, but I dislike waking up in the mornings, so I’d have to choose post-sunset.

    Q. How many pets do you have, and do you think it is a reasonable number?

sophie’s last blog post: Bullets for the New Blog

  • cynthia says:

A: We have 2 cats and they are more than enough but perfect as they keep each other company while we’re out.

Q:Do you have a blog & if so why did you start blogging?

cynthia’s last blog post: Buy Low Foods at Kingsgate Mall- an ode

  • Tasha says:

A: I don’t have a blog out of fear that I have nothing interesting to write about!

Q: What issue do you sit on your high horse about? (I always nitpick at people to recycle every little thing)

  • Lovewine says:

Answer> Littering….I really have a problem with people who litter. It is so irresponsible. I worked for the parks board for many years and I was amazed at how people could mess up such beautiful and natural settings.

Question> When you’re shopping for new types of wine do you let the labels entice you or do you go for certain regions/varietals?

    Lovewine’s last blog post: Backside

  • Tawcan says:

A: It depends. Last time I was shopping for a new type of wine I ended up picking up Fat Bastard b/c of the name… and it’s from France.

Q: What’s your opinion on Vancouver’s idiotic driver? Should ICBC take away their licenses and get them to re-take driving tests?

Tawcan’s last blog post: To the guy doing my wife

  • Jeremy says:

A: I like the idea of mandatory re-testing every 10 years. We might see fewer bone-heads on the roads.

Q: How do you cope when you have to deal with other people who are well-intentioned, but are also obviously narrow-minded?

  • Raul says:

A.- That has happened to me only occasionally, and when it occurs I basically flash a mega-watt smile and say “I have to go now, but I’ll give you a call sometime” and disappear onto oblivion :)

Q.- How did you cope with the recent “Taste of The Four Seasons’ Weather in Vancouver” (when we had warm weather and snow and rain, all within the same day)?

Raul’s last blog post: The cherry blossoms and a photo-walk

  • utenzi says:

    A. We didn’t have weather like that here on the US East Coast but it did almost snow the other day. Now it’s 70f. Very confused weather for late March.

    Q. What’s your favorite Jason Statham movie? I just saw Crank a few days ago and really liked it.

utenzi’s last blog post: Oily Hands

  • Patricia says:

    A. Jason Statham? Never heard of him …

    Q. So, what’s for lunch today? :-)

  • A: Hmm… I think I’ll have soup. Butternut Squash. Yum! I have an interview to deal with right afterwards, so it’ll be a short one today.

Q: What do you think your best attribute is?

  • Raul says:

    Hi Tanya!

I normally try not to comment twice but OMG I have to just say – Jason Statham = TOTAL HOTNESS. I am sorry, the man is just smoking hot! A friend of mine saw him having coffee at Starbucks while he was filming a movie here *Raul faints and dies of envy*

Best butternut squash soup – Liberty Bakery on Main and 21st. Ok, on to the question and answer.

A.- If you’re talking physique, I have been told that my smile and my eyes are my best feature.

If it is not physique, people love the fact that I am passionate about life. I’d like to think I do.

Q.- What is your feeling about Paris (France, not Ontario!) – a lot of people seem to have a love/hate relationship. How do YOU feel about Paris (if you’ve visited or want to visit)?

Raul’s last blog post: Happy Belated World Water Day 2008

  • LOL Raul ;) I’m glad you are still playing…

A: Uh, I’m soooo not a fan of Paris. I had a really, really awful experience there, on top of the fact that the people were plain mean there. That said, take me back to Southern France, and I’ll stay for months! It’s beautiful, and the people are spectacular. Amazing what a couple of hundred miles does.

Q: On that same topic, where’s your favourite city?

  • Patricia says:

    A. My favourite city is Paris (oh, & Vancouver too!), although I kind of hate it there a little bit too (a hotel/clerk in particular near the Eiffel Tower, I will stay very far away from it/her if I go again.). I love the Georges Pompodou Centre, the food & the catacombs are a hoot n’ a half. Some nice locals there though, including one that went out on a limb for me :-)

Q.What food item could you never give up? (for me, it’s cheese).

  • A. Toast and peanut butter. It just makes life better.

    Q. Is U2 still awesome, or old and getting older?

nancy (aka money coach)’s last blog post: Thursday’s Guest Post: an environmentalist on the impending cost of our water

  • [...] Tanya (aka NetChick) is still the Queen of Mid-Week Socializing Games. I confess I talked about Paris a tad too much. Je t’aime, Paris! [...]

  • A: U2 is most certainly still awesome. Ditto for David Bowie

Q: Daddy, why is the sky blue? No, scratch that: What is your favorite saying (even pop culture line) – and why?

Monica Hamburg’s last blog post: That’s Enough

  • A: Hmm… Favourite saying? Well, lately I’ve got a potty mouth (due to what we talked about last night, it comes out in exasperation) but it’s the F-word. Nope, I’m not proud, but, that’s how it is ;) I have been very crafty with it though, does that count?

Q: What do you think of snow in Vancouver in late March??
