This chick can only handle so much socializing…
Tonight was a big night for our company… We were celebrating 5 years of success at the Shebeen in Gastown, and as I’ve been with the company in one capacity or another for almost the whole time, I knew many people that attended.
It was a good night! Several well-known media personalities were there, because, after all, we are a media marketing company, but there were also some really great, and down-to-earth people there that I was super happy to catch up with, too… Some of which I’d only worked with over the phone and online, so it was really neat to actually put a face to some of the people.
But, man, after four hours, I’d hit the wall for socializing. And by 11:30pm, I needed to make an exit… And I feel bad that I had to go, but, as much as this chick is a social fiend, I’m also a homebody after a long week. So, depart I did.
On another note… Can you believe I’ve made the first move to hire an “attraction coach” today? I’m not kidding! I recognize that I need to make some changes to have better success meeting new men, and so I’ve made that critical move to make it happen. Let’s see where this takes me, on a personal-growth level!

My Friday night was reflective, but I can totally relate to how you felt … so I made myself the promise that Friday evening was going to be Raul’s and only Raul’s. I didn’t plan for anything social (you’ve read my blog often enough to know that I am usually booked for Friday nights, like, three weeks in advance!)

I love the Shebeen Whiskey House….as well as the Irish Heather. I always go there when I’m in Van. Yummy! I’ve never heard of an attraction coach…more details.
