The MID-WEEK Socializing Game & Update
First of all… Last night’s Third Tuesday was so much fun! Monica rocked her presentation on Crowdsourcing, and everyone seemed to have a great time. Rebecca live-blogged the event, so check out her entry if you missed it and would like to know more about the subject.
The after-event appies at Steamworks was a blast… It was great to have time to catch up with a lot of people that I haven’t seen much of lately. Thanks to everyone who could make it! It was a great night!
The contest for the Guitar Hero 3 is now closed. I’ll draw a name sometime today when I have time to get to it. Thanks for the interest, and even to the de-lurkers — Great to have you here!

oooh – i’m first!
I comment on a blog when I see something i can relate to or something that moves me. it might be a good thing or a funny thing or something that makes me angry.
My q: What makes you include a blog in your blog roll or otherwise link to them?
I’ll add a blog to my Bloglines feeds for several reasons:
* I run across a post and like it
* Another blogger recommends it
* The blogger comments on my blog
Of course, I’ll unsubscribe just as quickly if I’m not enjoying it or if I get tired of a person’s partial feed.
My question: What makes you decide to follow someone on Twitter?

A: I’ll follow someone on Twitter if they either follow me first, or I see on the public timeline that they have interesting things to say. But, I’ll also quickly unfollow people if they are strange, or just post stupid links that I don’t find interesting. (good questions, guys!)
Q: Have you ever blogged privately (maybe it’s open for all to see but you don’t let anyone know who you are?)
A: Nope.
Q: What’s do you think is worse, getting dropped 5 metres and hit the ground while climbing or dropping someone 5 metres & hit the ground while belaying.

A: What the heck is a metre? (Kidding…I’m from the US). Dropping someone is way worse. Risking my neck is one thing but risking someone else is an entirely different story.
Q: Do you have hard rock song that moves you? Or are you only moved by something slower like jazz or blues?

Q.- Keeping with the theme of blogs, Twitter, etc. What is your preferred method to keep up with blogs? Do you keep them bookmarked, subscribe to an RSS feed, keep them on your blogroll?

A: err… most of them? I’m *really* not digging Vancouver’s stations right now, on the most part. And, I work with radio across North America. It’s just not inspired, and neither is most of the music the formats I listen to are playing.
Q: Have you seen a really well-designed, polished site, lately? (ps: I’m currently working on a complete overhaul of this site, as well as my business site!)
A.- Well, I love my blogger friends’ blogs, so I can’t quite point out which one is *the* best designed. But I am not quite sure why you would want to overhaul yours, since to me it looks great. Then again, everything YOU do is great.
Q.- Would you monetize your blog yes or no, and why?

A: I do, so yes. But, I think there’s a right way and a wrong way — Too much to detail here, but basically, if your content is being overruled by cluttered banners and annoying click-throughs, you should re-think.
Q: Why?
I am a dork – I should have answered the question – Oh I was asking why because I am on a WordPress.com site, which cannot be monetized, but if I buy my domain, and so on, I would seriously consider it. And since I love your blog, I figured you’d be a good person to ask (or your readers, who also drop lovely comments!)
