Um. NOT pleasant.
I feel like barfing right now, but I can’t. Because if I do, I have to do this whole thing all over again.
What the heck am I talking about? Phosphate. 45 mls of it. And, what am I taking phosphate for? I’m having a colonoscopy procedure done first thing tomorrow morning.
I thought I’d experienced the most vile taste in the past… But no. This is it.
Don’t let the “lemon” flavouring fool you. There’s nothing about this stuff that remotely tastes like lemon.
And to make matters worse, I’m really hungry now. I can only digest clear fluids since noon, and I just couldn’t eat much at noon — I knew what was coming. Let’s see… I’ve only got another 13 hours of starvation to go. Awesome.
Don’t even get me started on where I’ve been spending most of the late afternoon. I can’t believe I have to get down another 45 ml bottle of this crap in an hour.
Okay, I’ll stop bitching now. I really hope the colonoscopy in the morning shows clear so I don’t have to go through this again for another seven years.

Tanya, that sounds pretty crappy. My Tuesday not so great but yours sounds worse …. It’ll be over soon…
Mine’s not as crappy, but I spent 2 hours getting my teeth drilled by a dentist. The dentist was cute and single, but I’m sure the state of my teeth has turned him off.
But yeah, drilling. Where your head vibrates. Eep.

I can relate to your experience. I had one done 6 years ago. The only remotely good thing is the few pounds you lose from taking that awful liquid. I hope your Wednesday goes better.
Sounds like a great start to the new dating plan. After this experience, just about any man should look pretty good.
They did that to me 2 years ago. I didn’t have the potassium solution tho–the stuff I had to take was 4 liters. I’d been warned that the stuff was vile but it didn’t bother me at all. It sure was a lot to drink tho.

Ouch. Tanya, I am sorry to hear that you need to undergo this procedure, but if it makes you feel better, I spent the best part of my Tuesday preparing for my PhD defense. Not fun!

You are absolutely right, there is NOTHING pleasant about a colonoscopy prep, it’s horrible. The good news is that the prep is the worst part. I hope that everything went well for you.
