I'm not entirely convinced that he's not trying to kill me
I’m a week and a half into my new fitness regime, and I can’t say I’m *loving* my workouts… yet. But, what I can say is that I already feel better, and that’s motivation enough to push through the pain and make this work.
The first workout I had with Nick was a bit of a nightmare, though, and all because I was up extraordinarily late the night before (ahem, err, early? …like 4:30am by the time I got to bed?) with friends and Rock Band. In fact, I had to kick two of the friends out the next morning who’d crashed (with only 5 hours of sleep) because I had to meet up with Nick for my first training session.
Thankfully, I didn’t drink too much that night or I would have been puking during that initial session.
It was still excruciating, though.
But now that I’ve had several sessions with him, and seen the results on the scale — another 3.5 lbs lost — I am convinced I’m on the right path to becoming healthy — and hey, what can I say… I wanna be porn-star-thin again, the right way, though, (not the LA-stressed-out-I’m-not-sure-I-will-actually-live-through-this-stress-kinda-way). But, I’ve been a size 5 before, so I know it’s possible.
Then again, that was 7 years ago. And, I was a very different person back then. Just ask Tod.
…I’m focussed on the goal! I’ve got three months booked ahead with my trainer… plus, I’m building up to 5 times a week in the gym (3 with the trainer now, plus 1 on my own, building to 2 on my own). I’m certain, that by the end of summer, my goals will have been realized.
Oh, and did I mention, I’m doing a video blog throughout this adventure? Yep, I am. But, it’s not getting aired until I’ve reached some of my goals. Stay tuned!
PS!! I missed you guys! How was your week, while I was off gallivanting and not getting a whole lot accomplished? Did you have a good week?
