What happened in Vegas…
I’m too, too busy to go into huge detail about Vegas — Besides, what happens in Vegas should stay in Vegas, right?
But, I’ll give you a point form of my experience:
– OMG, the suite at the Venetian was amazing!
– But, OOOOOMG! The one bedroom suite upgrade I got at the Trump Tower was phenomenal! (Photos to come at some point)
– The nightclubs in Vegas have gotten much, much more snooty since the last time I was there.
– One drink at Jet cost me $21 before tip. Um. Ouch.
– I’d also forgotten how hot it was in June in Vegas — Average temp = 105° Yikes!
– I brought what turned out to be REALLY SHITTY shoes. They cut my feet so bad that I had to buy new ones while I was there. Doh.
– The helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon, and landing *in* the canyon was one of my favourite parts of the trip.
– The couple that got engaged when we landed made me happy and hopeful… Maybe that kind of romance will happen to me again, one day?
– TXT’ing as a form of communication with the group really sucked. It really didn’t work out as I’d hoped, since everyone else was at TI across the street.
– I didn’t save any money by waiting to change my flight home. Oh well. That was a very expensive flight.
– I only gambled for about 2 hours during the whole trip… With an average loss of $40 per hour. It got old, fast.
– The Blue Man Group show was fantastic… I’m so glad we all saw it! Thanks to Tod for the idea!
– The trip was a much-needed break from the usual in Vancouver… I had a great time!
And, now that I’m back… I’m ready to put into action some of the things I solidified in my head while I was away, and had some time to think. It’s amazing how much perspective you get when you take some time to yourself! Thanks to everyone (*wink*) that texted me while I was down there — You made me smile! I’m sorry my text responses were so short — I *totally* totally hate my ghetto phone. I might just have to buy a used 1st gen iPhone (provided I can get a great deal on one, lol!) while I unpatiently wait until the 11th of next month.

Glad to hear that you had lots fun in Vegas. Next time I’m in Vegas I REALLY need to head in the stripe and stay there for at least one night instead of spending all my time climbing in Red Rock Canyon.
