Random things I wonder about…
- I wonder why people in lousy-paying, dead-end jobs don’t seem to want to change their situation?
- I wonder why people don’t use more common sense when talking to others? Don’t they know that people generally love to gossip about what they know? (even if they don’t mean to hurt someone by talking when they shouldn’t?)
- I wonder why I like Diet Pepsi over Diet Coke?
- I wonder why I crave cuddles so much?
- I wonder why I procrastinate on really important things like billing my clients, for VERY long periods of time? What the heck is wrong with me?
- I wonder what the next killer app will be for social media?
- I wonder if I’ll ever be able to run long distances again?
- I wonder why my friends insist on emailing me via Facebook, despite me telling them not to, because I hate looking in a dozen places for messages?
- I wonder when (and if) I’ll find someone that I fall head over heels in love with?
- I wonder if I’ll ever have time to put to finishing my new blog template that is half done?
- I wonder if my cousin and her family had a fabulous time in France? (I’m sure they did)
- I wonder why Fridays always run slower in the afternoon than any other day of the week?
- I wonder if I’ll ever finish the book I’m writing?
- I wonder if the new Rock Band is going to be that much better than the one I already have so much fun with?
- I wonder how Starbucks has lasted as long as it has, charging over $4.50 for a drink it costs them less than $1 to make? (probably because people like me are stupid enough to pay that kind of money on an almost daily basis)
- I wonder if I’ll actually get a good night’s sleep this weekend. (I’m guessing I will — The load I had on my mind from last week has dissipated)
What do you wonder about?
I hope everyone has a truly awesome weekend! What are you looking forward to getting up to? Me? Some Monica
time tonight (yay!), a gathering at MJ
‘s across the road tomorrow night for the fireworks, and setting up / arranging new office furniture, too! It promises to be another busy, but enjoyable weekend… Hope yours is, too!

People in lousy jobs don’t change their situation because they’ve been beaten down into thinking that they’re getting what they deserve, that they can’t get anything better, or they’re too mentally exhausted to do a search. That’s how some companies manage to keep people so long on low pay. That describes my last year at my previous company, and what I’m seeing in my former workmates.
You’re writing a book? That’s cool. Is there any sex in it?

Yes, for sure you’ll fall in love! In my life, it’s always happened when I WASN’T looking, and was happily enjoying my singleness.

I wonder what’s waiting for me when I get to Vancouver in 14 days … hmmm … what comes after a dream comes true?

You’re writing a book? I’m with Gil there should be sex in it…. make it a sexy thriller…that would be cooooollll….
So many things to wonder about. Always good. Right now I’m wondering what Vancouver will be like, when rashbre central (currently renamed as rashbre west) flits through your city over the next few days.
Best, rashbre

I wonder how on Earth I’ve managed to survive Blogathon and why did I decide to do it!?
Well, because it’s worth it!
Much love,

i wonder why there is never traffic when i don’t have to be somewhere, but i get stuck behind someone driving 15-20km below the speed limit when i am in a hurry. and why the grocery line i pick always becomes the slowest.

You like diet Pepsi more than diet Coke because it’s sooo much tastier! It’s actually sweeter and has a hint of lime added (one my friends’ dad is a food chemist and he told me that).

Ditto Gillian on why people with crappy jobs stay in them. That’s what happened to me in my last job. You don’t like your job, but you just get used to it, and you’re so tired at the end of the day from spending 8 or 10 hours doing something you hate that all you want to do is go home and relax. And so you get stuck, and the cycle continues. I thank my lucky stars every day that I got laid off in February, forcing me into a necessary change.
