My very random weekend:
I had a ton of fun this weekend!
In no particular order, I…
– ate a lovely dinner at Water Street Cafe
– enjoyed a beer at the Cambie for the first time ever (who knew it was so much fun?)
– was kissed
– had Shaw cable come in with a brand new, free, DVR (yay for free stuff!)
– enjoyed a glass of wine with a friend
– watched 2 movies
– had a bra stolen (don’t ask… lol)
– walked for over four hours
– cleaned my home
– was a total misbehaving brat (hehe, no regrets)
– basically finished retrieving all my data from my failed hard drive
– spent time with an African Grey
How was your weekend?

Hmmm – tease! The “was kissed” part needs more deets (unless it involved the African Grey, in which case, we’re all cool without more info

Well that certainly sounds pretty decent! Mine was a mixed bag of good & bad:
-consoled a friend who got dumped by her boyfriend of 6 years
-watched Sex & the City movie over pizza and wine with girlfriends
-hung out with my sister
-finished reading “Water for Elephants” by Sara Gruen (great book!) for my book club
-stressed myself into a fatigued, headachey state over whether or not to break up with my new boyfriend
-decided to talk to him about it instead of just end things
-worked things out and feel much closer and happier with him now
-watched the recorded premiere of The Office
-breakfast with the boyfriend yesterday morning
-checked out the Regional Assembly of Text on Main Street (such a cool store!)
-ate a weird assortment of random items, including crackers & dip for breakfast, and gave in to a craving for a root beer float yesterday. Which I’ve never in my life craved before.

@BigPappa – Happy birthday!!! (and welcome!) Sounds like an awesome birthday weekend.
@Monica –
I’m not kissin’ and tellin’. Just for fun, anyhow. But, it did make me realize that kissing makes me a happy girl, and I’ve gotta start dating again. I will not let a certain someone make me lose all trust in men. Nope.
@Laura – Wow, that sounds very up and down! I’m so glad you decided to talk it out with the boy. That does wonders! Wish more people did that.
@isabella – can’t wait to hear all about it!
@Raul – Sounds like a ton of fun for the weekend (not the sick part, though… ack, that sucks). I elected for a quiet evening, since I wasn’t able to go to BarCamp the next day. And I didn’t want to totally ruin my diet with drinking all weekend. (which, I kind of did for Saturday night anyhow)

Tanya, your weekend sounded pretty good.
for mine I:
- finally got heat in my apartment, yippee!
- Saw the movie “Blindness” (film fest), was cold in the theatre but little old lady next to me threw her shawl on me.
- Saw VIFF movie #2 “JCVD”.
- went to “Word on the Street” & saw/listened to a Meg Tilly book reading, visited with my friends from Geist magazine
-went to a talk on professional editing
- Hung out with my sister
- & If I hadn’t seen enough movies on the weekend, I watched a DVD (Bunny Lake is Missing)…. I think have movie-itus….
- organized and sorted stuff in my apartment.
- waved hello to Sam Sullivan on Robson Street (he looked tired and grumpy).
I agree with Monica. A pronouncement of kissing requires further details!

The Cambie rocks! Hey, I should know, it’s where I met my hubby 13-ish years ago!! We went back on our 10th anniversary for a drink & burger & brew- LOL!
@Patricia – heat in your apt.? OMG. You’ve gone through so much hell in that place. (the rest sounds fun, though)
@Beth – nothing to tell… Sorry, wish it was more exciting. But, I have started to date again, so there will be more stories of kisses, I’m sure!
@isabella – that sounds perfectly lovely! (esp. finding a friend’s car and following it) Too funny! (and ditto what I said above, there really isn’t anything to tell)
@Cynthia – I remember! I thought of you.
Tanya: actually there wasn’t anything especially wrong with the lack of heat (as in nothing broken), we’re on old style boiler heating and sometimes it takes a few weeks for it to “kick in” in the fall. It is included with my rent so it’s reasonably economical. I feel the cold easily and if I’m not using my oven to cook meals my apartment will feel extra cold.
