Obviously I'm not in the right location. DC is nice to go to the free museums, but I've found very little good customer service. I often marvel at why people take the customer service jobs, but then really hate life and project that upon the poor masses. So, I admire you who have good customer service experiences. (hey, did I just say Yoohoo?).
Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Two stories... I've been shopping at Happy Veggie World on #6 Road in Richmond for a few years now. They sell all types of vegetarian foods and mock-meats. Every time I go there they are very hospitable, they give me new ideas for vegetarian recipes, and give me free samples of their new food items. I go back for the food but also the service.

My mom owns a gift basket company called Creative Gift Solutions and it started out from home. The two central focuses of her business have always been having the best quality products, and giving the best quality service. Because of that last year she also won a customer's choice award. But more recently, yesterday a lady was so impressed by speaking to her once on the phone, she emailed a testimonial for my mom's website 5 minutes later.

Meanwhile there are some places I've been where the food or products were actually far superior to everyone else, but just because of the poor service I stopped going back. Customer service is still alive and important!

Yeah believe it or not, it was with Telus. Yeah I know. I wanted to get a deal on a new USB EVDO modem to replace my PCMCIA ver ... and I got $200 off retail! Totally didn't have to do it, but they have ensured my business.
