Events, events, events
This is a quick update today, because work is crazy, and I won’t have any time in the next few nights to blog.
Last night’s Third Tuesday Vancouver
was a ton of fun! Steve Jagger talked about using some low-priced tools to move a company from brick and mortar to virtual… Tris Hussey live-blogged the evening, so head on over to his entry to view the details if you missed it!
Tonight, I’m off to support “Chip’s Not Dead Yet”, a family-oriented fundraiser for the BC Children’s Hospital — It’s the kick off this evening, aka “Social Media Launch Party”, to launch the big event (a theme fun run) which will take place on June 20th, 2009.
BC Children’s Hospital is a cause near and dear to my heart… As most of you know, I was born with a birth defect that took many years and many specialists to fix via the experts that now reside at Children’s. Back when I was a little kid, the awesome facility that now helps so many didn’t exist, and they had me travel from Victoria while they gathered specialists in one place so all the kids that needed help like me, could do all the appointments with various specialists in one or two days.
The fundraiser has also launched an event video contest
. The best theme wave idea for the one mile run submitted will become part of the race and win $1000! The first 50 entrants to the contest will also receive a free lululemon yoga mat, running hat, and key cuff. I think it’s a neat idea… You should enter — How fun is that contest idea?!
How’s your week going so far?

Coffee + Biscuits
Biscuits + Coffee
Now needing detox !
Was attending some testing with work this week, which means surviving on a steady diet of strong black coffee and biscuits. It can get somewhat soporific watching the testing, hence the coffee coming via IV drip
If you can find time to watch Bolt, I’d recommend it
Another amazing Pixar film. Almost drew a tear or two too, although that could have been a side effect of all that coffee
My week has been going great so far. Thanks for asking! If it would only stop snowing, I’d be having a much better week. But you can’t have everything.

@Thomas – Snow. Ya, I’m so glad we don’t have that crap here anymore! We had record breaking amounts of it over Christmas.
@Dorothy –
Boo! Sounds horrid. Yikes. I am sending you the best of wishes.
My week is just as crazy as yours, Tanya
Hopefully I won’t be grumpy by the time Sunday comes!
