And, now back to regularly scheduled blogging…
I have to share with you the pitfalls of texting (and having a relationship) with the love of your life from a distance…
This morning I get a text from Barry — who has sadly returned to the land of the cowboys (well, I’m not sure if Camrose, Alberta, has cowboys actually, but we’ll assume it does) — after receiving a text from me communicating the fact that I was missing my good morning text from him, and “geez, I only got a generic reply to my Facebook status update”
I was nice about it and all, but, I still had to share with him… I’m good that way.
He replied with a very appropriate response: “It’s like we’re back in high school, lamenting half an hour without contact – I love you 36% more. xoxo”
Too funny. This long distance thing is going to take some getting used to — The more I’m with him, the more I miss him when he’s away.
Thankfully, we only have 6 more months of this, with about 3 week breaks between visits to Vancouver before he’s here for good. Phew!
ps: I forgot to mention, that Barry HAD actually txt’ed me with a good morning message, but my iPhone delivered it late.

I’m sure your looking forward to the day where he is here for good!
@Kimm – oh hell, ya. (and, you know via Twitter why this is countdown is so important!
)
He only loves you 36% more? What about the remaining 67%, huh? That’s what I’d be asking myself.
Is he originally from this way? Moving out here?
Chris’s last blog post was… A Quick Tidy
LOL @Chris – 36% more than the bizzilion times of yesterday. We have a running match of who loves who more, you see.
Barry is from Camrose, and will be moving out here at the end of January. Further details to come shortly on the blog
I too am in a long distance relationship with a guy from Edmonton. What is it with these Albertan men huh? Soooooooooo very very nice!
While it’s been really hard and we only see each other about 4 days per month, each time we’re together is like a honeymoon.
So, enjoy those times together Tanya. It makes them all the more precious! We too have running matches who loves the other more. So far I keep losing! hahahaaha! Thank god for Westjet seat sales is all I’ve got to say!!
I hope you’re as happy as we are and I hope that both our relationships last for a very very long time and get even better over time. My man is arriving tonight for the weekend!! Can’t wait!! woooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooo!!
