An ill-conceived idea
Sometimes, I’m not so bright.
For example, in my effort to stretch our home renovation budget, I went with the cheapest countertop supplier out there… And, what we got on the surface (literally) looked great (mostly), but upon closer inspection, we received granite that is half as thick as what it should be (2 cm instead of 3 cm for the kitchen), and it definitely not installed properly — there are several areas where the granite floats without support!
But… the doozy decision recently for me, was to decide to stop having Depo Provera injections for birth control.
Let’s examine that for a second: I’ve been on this high-dose progesterone hormone for over 10 years, and I decided to stop *hormones* at a time of the most change I’ve ever experienced at once in my life.
Stupid Tanya.
Thank goodness Barry has more patience than anyone I’ve ever met. I tend to go on, ad nauseam, about the most ridiculous of things lately, when I’m actually stressing out about far more important stuff.
I hope the hormone swings stop soon. I want to fully enjoy all these wonderful things happening in my life…

Ill “conceived”? Stopping birth control? What are you trying to tell us, Tanya?

Heh. Okay, I should have expanded on that… I was going to let Barry share that part: yesterday he had THE procedure
So, we are fully in the “Team No Babies” club now.
I should have been off Depo 4 or more years ago (progesterone over long periods of time can be very bad for bone density), and now that I no longer require it, I jumped off that bandwagon as soon as I could without fully considering the timing of it all.
Best. Family. Guy. Song. Ever.

I don’t know why it’s in fast motion though. I don’t have time to look for a proper one… still funny though.

Great song, shnewt. I remember that episode. Classic. And Tanya, you know I love you no matter what. Just glad you’re off the nasty Depo stuff.
Have you ever tried the pure progesterone cream as a hormone balancer? Read “What Your Doctor May Not Tell you about Menopause” by Dr. John Lee – it is illuminating.
I received an award, and I’d like to pass one onto you for being a new blog I read!
