I used to lead a rather large tech support team, and have remained friends with many of my former colleagues over the years. This week, she pinged me with a career-type question, and while en route to a meeting in Toronto (bless Via Rail and the BlackBerry!) I bounced ideas back and forth with her. By the time we were finished our mobile e-mail huddle, she sent me one final message that I'll probably print and frame. Not that I ever do any of this for recognition, but I was incredibly touched that she took the time to thank me as she did. Life's good.
