I've had more leap-of-faith moments in my life than I care to admit. From getting married, to deciding to have kids, to dropping everything and moving far away to dropping everything and doing a career 180, I empathize with you right down to the feeling in the pit of your stomach just before you pull the trigger and and jump.

But here's the thing: It's how we live full and meaningful lives. Because risk is the price we pay for never wondering what might have been. Folks with character get that. You always have, and it's a privilege to watch you move through this process. We're lucky that you're sharing it with us.

This post really struck a cord with me. I understand what it is like to take a leap of faith having quit my job lasy year and deciding to travel with my husband for a uear. It still brings me stress from time to time.

That year of travel is coming to and end soon. Who knows what the future will bring, but I'm thankful for the experiences I've had.

I'm sure you will find lots of great opportunities in Calgary once the load on your plate lightens. All this change will be less scary with someone special to share it with. Best of luck to you.

Good luck. I moved from Toronto to Calgary on a pure whim (1 week from "gee, I think I'll move out west" to being on a plane). Turned out I hated Calgary and moved home, but the experience was still incredible. Just taking a huge chance, followed by a few years of taking silly chances because you only live once.

In fact, I have to thank you for reminding me of that. I've been feeling in a rut since moving back to Toronto. Your post has just inspired me to kick myself in the rear and get back into the risk-taking way of being.

Side note: It's very odd to see somebody I follow (you), retweet somebody I randomly met a few years ago lined up outside an EB Games the day the Nintendo DI was released (@gotkube). I love small world moments.
