Hello, my name is Tanya, and I love poker.
I love the social aspect of playing it in person, and I definitely enjoy the psychology of the game. I love it so much, that we are putting a custom table into our new basement! It’s all Barry’s fault, really. I barely knew how to play the game before he came along.
Tonight, we’re heading out to play poker at the Big Slick Tour in Calgary (we used to play the Vancouver league) — I’m really looking forward to playing a tournament and meeting some new people! The best part of the Big Slick league, is that there is no buy-in involved. I don’t mind playing for a little cash in a home game (just to make it interesting) but I am not a fan of putting in $60 plus dollars in at a casino if I can help it.
Unless, of course, we’re playing in Vegas… Or, on a cruise ship. Heh.
So… confess… Do you love the game of poker as much as I do? How’s your game?

I love poker! I am totally addicted to Texas Hold ‘Em on Facebook! It’s free – your friends can join you at the table – you can chat, buy each other drinks and other gifts and enjoy the real game feel of it all!! I have to admit that I haven’t played it in a casino except for a cruise I was on last year – where I won the tourny!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!! $1,200 US KAAAAACHING!! As a single woman I find it kind of hard to find friends willing to put their hard earned cash down in a casino, but the idea of a league is intriguing! I’ll have to check that out here in Vancouver and see what’s available! Thanks for the idea!
PS – I heard winter arrived back in Calgary! Beautiful sunny day here in Vancouver! heeheheheee!
I like draw poker but I’m terrible at hold’em because I have to bet to the bitter end because I have to see. With draw poker you KNOW what you’ve got. lol
I may have to take some hold’em lessons some day.

I rather enjoy a game on occasion. I like the fact that you can tell a lot about a person by the way they play. Kinda like golf. Win or lose, it’s always fun and interesting. Of course winning is always more fun
I like to play, but I’m not very good at it.
Finally some fresh poker articles.I’ve been searching for some all day long but nobody seems to write about poker anymore. Btw my fav poker room is FTP.
