Life is crazy
Hey all… I’ve never been this quiet in all my years of blogging. I very much miss writing here, but haven’t had any time to set aside each day to share what’s been up. Today, unfortunately, is no different.
I’ve been sick for a couple of days now, so now I’ve got a ton of stuff to catch up on. I’m hoping tomorrow will bring a brighter day full of inspiration and empowerment. Being sick in bed yesterday was no fun at all.
What I can quickly share, is that I’m the luckiest girl in the world — my guy is awesome! He’s been so helpful during this time of upheaval and change, and I couldn’t have asked for a better husband.
Oh look… The sun has come out. Perhaps I’ll continue my tasks for today outside on the deck.
YOUR TURN: What’s new with you? Did you do anything fun to celebrate the first day of summer, yesterday?

Softball … lots of it. I just played my third tournament weekend in a row. Plus, I play at least two nights a week of league.
It’s so much fun and I play with great people, so it’s always hard to say no when I’m asked to go out on the weekend.
But that leaves very little time for my non-softball friends, my dog, my camera, the gym and my website.
Help?

Hi Tanya,
This is probably my first time here so I’ll start off by saying “hello”.
I’ve been busy helping a friend set up WordPress on her server. Being a not technical person it’s been giving me a little trouble, especially configuring the domain from a different provider to work.
Wedding planning has been on the back of my mind recently also. It’s just under a year to go (361 days to be exact) and I’m super excited. My wedding planning headaches at the moment is the fact that we’re having a “more traditional than I’d like” Chinese wedding and our guests list is getting a little out of hand. Hopefully I’d be able to convince our parents to keep the list at a manageable size.

First of all, I hope you feel better soon, and the hubs sounds like a great guy, there arent that many of us around any more
Whats keeping me busy?……Guitar, Wife, Guitar, sick cat, Guitar, Son-in-Law duties, Guitar, Guitar, Guitar….hhhmmmm I see a pattern here lol.
I’ve overcome my fears and gearing up to do some busking in DT Calgary later this summer. Just need to do a little more practicing, or at least I think I do, everyone else tells me I dont, but Im a perfectionist…I’ll be putting the “mental” in instrumentalist soon, stay tuned
I’ve been keeping busy with this mortgage broker course, kids, dogs, yard work, house guests, dinner guests, friends and on the weekend, sickness.
Hopefully see you again soon, and if not, on July 16 at any rate.
Keep on trucking along, Tanya!
I got sick because I have been working myself to exhaustion. But I’ll take tomorrow off and Thursday too as my Mom is arriving to stay with me for a few weeks!

I have the week off, so I guess that’s my way of celebrating summer. Unfortunately, I’ve been sick for 2+ weeks, so most of my time off has been spent napping so far.

*wave*
I was happy to read the sun was coming out for you. You sound low-energy and we’ve all missed you!
Yesterday was our “dating” anniversary so DH and i went out for dinner…which was when i found out he’d been sent out of town for work today and likely the weekend too. At least we had a good, leisurely meal (and yummy wine) before he vamoosed.
Today all the talk is about the earthquake in Ontario. Easily whipped into a frenzy out here.
Feeling better? Hope so.
Hey guys… Thanks!
Angela, if you need another player, I’d love to give a softball team a go (haven’t played in years, tho)
Hey Jan! Welcome! I’m so glad you made it by. I completely relate to your wedding planning dilemma! My list grew by two times the original, but, with my venue (the boat) I couldn’t increase it any further, as much as I wanted to. Best of luck with it – drop in and let me know how it goes!
Mr RocknRoll – Go for it! I would come down and see ya! That sounds awesome! Can’t wait to hear how that goes!
Brown-eyed Girl – How cool is that?? I didn’t know you were doing that course (how did I not know that?) How much longer do you have left for the course? Hope to see you really soon! (if not, July 16!)
Raul – darlin’, you are always working yourself to the bone. Are you coming out to YYC soon?
Average Jane – Hey stranger! Oh no! Being sick sucks. I was sick for 6 months last year, and wow, even 2 weeks was overwhelming. I hope you get better soon!
Ang – hey chick! Great to hear from you! Congrats on the anniversary, I hope it was a fabulous evening for you. Sorry he had to take off so soon after, tho! I heard about the earthquake! Holy, I didn’t know they had those out that way?! Hope to chat via email soon… Are you ever out in YYC?
