A bad track record!

Hi guys!

Freshly back from Vegas, I can say, Barry and I have an extremely bad track record with flights. No, our flights don’t get canceled, but holy cow, we seem to attract the worst fellow flyers.

On our honeymoon flight out to London, we sat right behind a guy who was so looped up on something he couldn’t understand simple instructions to put his seat in an upright position, or put on his seatbelt. After over an hour, and many tries, he was escorted off the plane before we even left the gate.

Last night, our track record stayed true to form… Behind us was a girl who was obviously on something, and belligerent to the flight attendants — Only this time, we had taxied to the runway, and were about to take off. An hour and a half after boarding, we were finally making our way back to the runway after the couple was escorted off the plane, and their baggage found, and deplaned as well.

What a freakin’ pain. Especially when the flight wasn’t due to land until almost 1am. Try… 2:30am with the delay.

I really hope they lost their tickets, and were fined. That’s bullcrap. Because of her antics, many people didn’t make it home in a reasonable time, and I heard several passengers say they were already going to be getting very little sleep before work the next morning.

Jerks.

For me it’s flight delays. 50% of all flights I’m on are delayed by 2 hours. It’s ridiculous and a FACT! It makes me crazy.

Damn, lady! I’ve logged more plane hours than anyone I know and have not run into those kinds of issues. Although I did have to get off a bus in Kenya at 3 am during a machine-gun armed roadcheck, which was kind of nerve-wracking. But no weird drunks! So sorry your trip back was so craptastic!

I had one bad trip recently when my flight got canceled in TO due to thunderstorm and got stranded there for 24 hours.

Remind me not to go on the same flight as you. ;) :p

I can’t say that I’ve been on a plane where that has happened, but from the scuttlebutt I’ve heard, if you get escorted off a plane in such as fashion as you describe you forfeit your tickets. But that’s just the scuttlebutt. But I definitely agree with you that someone who causes trouble like that should receive some form of consequence for their actions.
