Belated Merry Christmas Wishes!

How was your Christmas? Mine was awesome…

My how life has changed in the past several years. I remember a time, not too long ago, when I chose not to celebrate Christmas at all. It was 2007, and I’d lost my Dad a month before Christmas while I was away in Europe. That was a day that everything changed. He was the glue for the adopted and step-family I had, and when he died, nothing was the same.

But, that was six years ago. Everything is different now!

My husband and his parents are my family. And, I have my step-mom and her guy, and of course my brother, his wife and my niece. Although we’re in Alberta and the rest of my family is in BC, they’re all I need, even if it’s just a short conversation on the phone – Christmas is awesome with them in my life.

And, of course, there’s my friends who I call family, too. This year, Barry and I went up to north Calgary (Springbank) to enjoy Christmas dinner with friends, and it was so special. They’re amazing friends. I’m so lucky to have such an amazing group of friends here now.

So, Merry Christmas everyone… I hope whatever you did, it was awesome!

YOUR TURN: What did you get up to, this Christmas (or, non-denominational holiday time?)

Hi T! Glad you had a great Christmas! Mine was not terribly busy. I’m traveling again, so I wasn’t home with the gang to celebrate. We have not talked in a long time. We need to catch up soon.

I am glad to hear that life is good again for you. I remember those years when you were single in Vancouver, and going through the loss of your Dad.

Call me next week, and we will chat.
